Streaming movies, worth watching or not.

Now I am not a real big consumer of modern....ahh....entertainment. The last movie I went to see in a theater was in 2006, so I am not really the one to start a thread like this. But I do get bored at the end of the day, and if I am not cruising the digital garage sales I will look at something on "TV" to watch.

I figure this would be a good place to put all those types of reviews, the new road house thread brought this idea to the front of my mind.

So that in mind here we go......

Shogun

I remember the mini series from what....the late 70's early 80's, and as I remember that was good. Some of us stupid 'mericans even learned how to say hello and thank you in Japanese.

Well there is a remake, and I started to watch it thinking it was the old version....nope it is new, oh well I guess I will give it a chance. Now I am not too far into it, but so far it is not too bad. I would say it might be worth a watch.

Gen X parents have lost their minds

I own a 2011 Corvette Grand Sport. It's been dyno'd at 515HP at the rear wheels after some mods and a tune.

These are NOT kids cars, the power is utterly amazing. I've had it up to 175 on an airport runway, with throttle still left.

Arizona girl, 18, is arrested 'after killing married park ranger dad riding his Harley while she drove brand new Chevrolet Corvette that costs up to $140,000 at 155mph'

The MIC (medical) must be down on numbers

Hospital heart unit about 30 minutes away, is doing a "Public service" this weekend. For 20 bucks you get the,... Complete bank,... of tests for heart issues. Plus A1C, Diet, body mass index, eye, & something else. The radio ad stressed walk ins most welcome. I'm thinking those with ins will need further testing (or more) that your ins will cover. Those w/o will need to followup else where. Thoughts?

SOLD Autotrickler V4 w/FX-120i

Not a lot of use. I don't shoot LR, I actually just use it to work up ladders as it works a treat for that. That being said, I have most of my loads dialed in and don't use this any longer.

Will include the pan cover kit and the spacer kit offered here on SH. Also includes all the original clear panels and glass cup as well.

$1050 shipped CONUS to your door.

If you're local to SW Ohio we can potentially do F2F for $1000.

Bolt Action Rifle Upgrades

A great deal of attention is dedicated to making our rifles more accurate. Shooters agonize over the best barrels, the stiffest actions, and the most rigid chassis. But for some reason, all too often they ignore the second largest part of the equation—making the user accurate.

There are several upgrades that can make your bolt action rifle more accurate and shrink your groups, all of them talked about at length. But what gets ignored are the little parts and accessories that can make shooting easier, faster, and more fun.

Below, we’ve curated a list of the best quality-of-life upgrades you can make to your bolt action precision rifle.

There’s a lot of talk about how upgrading your...

I do think I've been lucky in my years. I could be dead a hundred times over but I I ain't...knock on wood.

Anyhow I was reading something on here and it oddly reminded me of a story one of my girlfriends told me. Went to high school together, but this happened maybe a year before we started dating. She was about 21 and crashed her car in the ditch out in front of this old couples home. She ended upside down in her car with it resting at maybe a 60 degree angle with her open drivers side window pointing to the sky.

The old man ran out as fast as he could and bent down saying exactly what you'd expect. "OMG are you okay!" All that sort of stuff. But he cut it off cold...for about ah shit, I don't recall...let's just say 15-20 seconds. Why you ask? I'm fixin' ta tell ya. Well she's a young very attractive gal. All the goodies. Cute face. Perky tits. Nice ass, the works. She's wriggling around fiddle fucking with her seatbelt, but she can't get it unbuckled. So she's in there struggling and when he gets down to where he can see her, her sundress is doing what you'd expect when a gal is upside down. And she ain't wearing a bra nor panties. LOL. My man got himself a good old fashioned eyeful.

I always wondered whether he kinda sat there in disbelief, or if he was pulling the old mental pictures bit.

So yeah, I don't know if I've been comparably lucky to the older gentleman described in my tale above, but I've definitely had my moments.

Favorite Pants

Looking for a few pairs of all around, flexible, comfortable, stylish pants other than jeans to wear for walking, hiking, range wear, etc. Have my eye on some Kuhl pants, but ideally was wanting to keep the budget a bit cheaper. I have plenty of Rothco and Proper BDU's but ideally want something a little less baggy and wide.

Anyone have some recommendations?

Why use a chronograph if I’m going to true anyway?

I’m still learning my way through getting my inputs squared away knowing how each factor affects the others.

Aside from load development and getting data on a load’s SD, what ultimate purpose does a chronograph serve if I always true the MV in my kestrel to reality?

For example, I went to the range this weekend. I’m shooting factory loads, 6.5CM shooting a 140 ELD-M. My chrono gives an average of 2710 fps and my kestrel gave the solution of 8.55 MILs at 960 yards. However reality called for needing only ~8.4 MILs so the kestrel MV calculator changed the MV to 2747.

Why bother to use the chrono if my MV calculator is just going to override that number anyway? I’m using a BC of .296. I see a lot of talk of tweaking the BC vs the MV but I’ve never felt smart enough to do that. Using the calculated MV I was consistently getting hits out to 1000 yards so in the end I suppose everything was lined up, but I just don’t like it when numbers don’t match.
