Rifle Scopes $2500 MSRP Limit (PRS Production Class)

Who is king? I've shot a bunch of NRL22x/NRL Hunter but haven't gotten into PRS. I have an MPA BA PMR Pro II on order that I don't think I'd change much on anyway, and since it is eligible for Production class figure I might try to keep the optic there as well. Options seem to be slim; FFP/MIL/20x+ max are my criteria.

Most scopes have ridiculous MSRP's compared to street prices. I'd grab a Gen3 Razor and have fun but the MSRP is laughable.

Zeiss LRP S3 6-36 seems to be the best option I can find. Though they are one MSRP bump from being ineligible. XTR Pro is out; feel like the LRP S3 is well ahead of an XTR III? Looked at the Leica PRS 5-30 as well but those don't seem to have much of a following.

Yeah yeah I know, run what you want and shoot open. Still considering that, but setting up rifles for specific purposes is a fun game to play.

My 427 blower motor project.

A few moments where I depreciate the value of my neighborhood. Living amongst senior citizens has its advantages during times like this, as most are deaf as a post.

The data log reveals some interesting stuff. Idle lands around 1050rpm once it warms up. A 0-100% throttle whack sends the RPM to over 3,800 in 400ths of a second. The impressive (or scary) part is that during the blip, the atmosphere inside the engine changes from 14" of vacuum to +11psi worth of boost. This one has some big lungs, lol.

Still lots to do, but it at least starts and moves now.

The dry sump oil pump belt alignment has a small tracking error that I'm still working on. I have a .025" shim on the pump mount now that seems to help. I might have to add a little more.

The next big problem to solve is power management. This is a small tire car, and I estimate the engine to land somewhere around 2k for power output. Putting all of that to a 10" wide radial tire is asking a lot. I am not a fan of 2-step rev limiting strategies on blower motors as it's hell on parts. The mass of a pair of rotors whirling around as they are rapidly +/- in rpm as the computer pulls/adds cylinders (ignition) is not a good thing. A friend who's much smarter than I am has a pretty clever alternative solution using a stock GM throttle-by-wire throttle body. I ordered a pair and am dissecting them now for the upcoming experimental transplant surgery.
If it works, the engine will no longer crackle and pop. It'll just increase rpm, hold, and accelerate off the line with smooth/linear progression. Add some peripherals (traction control), and we might have a good solution for how to launch/control this dumb thing.

Rifle Case

I have a couple soft rifle cases that I have used in the past for a variety of firearms. I put together a rifle I plan to use for long range and dont want get it beat up during transit. I have a Daniel Defense Delta 5 and a Nightforce ACTAR 5-25 with a atlas bipod. Are people using pelicans or what do people use for hard rifle cases that they have a good experience with?

Thanks

Suppressors Suppressor transfers in the no tax stamp era

Before buying suppressors, I set up a gun trust but I never used it. When Form 4 Individual applications were being turned around in less than 48 hours, that is the path I took. My rationale was that it is only me, myself, and I using them. I have them bequeathed in my will with Form 5 no-tax transfers pre-filled for the beneficiaries.

Once the fee is gone, I may transfer them from my as an individual to my trust. (I refuse to pay the gubbermint twice.) I assume it will be a Form 4 transfer. I wouldn't care how long it takes to process because I already have them. It may be irrelevant if GOA succeeds with its suit. Since it is still an NFA item, the trust just makes it a little easier to share with friends and family if I ever get less selfish. ;-)

Is anyone else thinking about this? Is it worth even bothering?

Precision Rifle Gear Chad vs Botnia

Looking for any experience of a Chad tuner brake vs a Botnia Maxi. We are in the process of building a PRS rifle for Tactical class in 308 win for my son, so wanting to get the absolute most effective muzzle brake that we can find. The choice seems to be between the Chad and the Botnia, but I cant find much that compares the two. I watched the X-Ring Youtube video, and his conclusion was that they were very similar, but I would be interested to hear the experience of anyone else that has been able to compare the two.

Dem lawmakers say their voters are threatening 'blood' and 'violence' over inability to hinder Trump: report

Democratic lawmakers say their voters are enraged at the lack of ability to counter President Donald Trump's agenda, with some saying they could resort to "violence," Axios reported Monday.

The outlet says it spoke to over two dozen House Democrats to measure the temperature of the Democratic base. What it found was red-hot anger and a burgeoning desire to circumvent the rule of law, where explanations that Democrats simply don't hold enough power in Washington fall on deaf ears.

"We've got people who are desperately wanting us to do something... no matter what we say, they want [more]," Rep. Brad Schneider, D-Ill., told the outlet.

Most of the lawmakers spoke on condition of anonymity. Schneider's office did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.

"Our own base is telling us that what we're doing is not good enough... [that] there needs to be blood to grab the attention of the press and the public," one such lawmaker said.

Another said their constituents are convinced that "civility isn't working" and that they should prepare for "violence... to fight to protect our democracy."

A third lawmaker described some of the messages from people online as "crazy ****," saying that some told them to "storm the White House and stuff like that."

Other constituents have insisted that lawmakers take on the risk themselves, with one lawmaker saying they were told they should be willing to get "shot."

"What I have seen is a demand that we get ourselves arrested intentionally or allow ourselves to be victims of violence, and... a lot of times that's coming from economically very secure White people," another lawmaker said.
