I have been messing with N540 and 77’s. Not enough velocity. Only getting 2800 and showing pressure signs Switching to Tac powder nextThinking about getting 2K cases and load with N540 with 77TMK
They are quick, I sent in a PRS1 to get the adjustable LOP kit and have them fix the forend/install the archers for a 419 arca rail. I think it was less than two weeks from door to door, if I remember correctly. It has a 1" pad so maybe I will cut the pad off and fit a new 1/2" pad. I guess I might just cut the pad down 1/4" at a time.it's a 280 though so eventually I will probably want to get it back to a 1" pad.
I know you guys will always work on your stocks but working on things myself puts them on my timeframe.![]()
I am fixeTalking to Mike is dangerous… Surprised he didn’t sweet talk you into buying another TacOps before y’all hung up. lol
Pinning the gas block often does reduce precision. I have personally found this to be true with two different Criterion barrels.Pinning gas blocks do NOT reduce accuracy. This is unfounded and made up by manufacturers that want to cut corners.
On another note, I never knocked Seekins. My quest is and was for knowledge. I also believe and suspect Seekins uses billet uppers and lowers. Another corner cutting technique. IF this turns out to be true, then all you have is an overpriced, billet upper/lower, set screw attached gas block with a mystery stainless barrel, for 4200.00.
There is non, none, nada comparison to a Geissele MRGG, or even a DD5 V5. Of which I have confirmed with DD, are ALL pinned. The DD5 V5 is .75 to .5 moa all day long as is the Geissele.
Though off topic, even Seekins DMR 6 arc platform has the same deficiencies. And here again, cannot compare to a GFR.
Everything Seekins manufacturers is not even at a CMMG level. Sorry guys but now have to call it as it is. And this Scar bashing is ridiculous. I already own 2 Scar 20's, 6.5 and 308. My mission was to obtain a 6.5 in ar10 platform and sure won't be a Seekins.
Yeah I don’t care about reloading, just want to get some extra velocity on my wifes 223 hunting bolt gun. Might even make 88 eldm worth it in the 223 case.I have been playing with the 308 Nas3 casings and while they work, I still prefer Alpha SRPs and my modified 277 fury brass. The nas3 work fine if you do not mind NOT being able to reload them. For me that is a non-starter. Some of my alpha brass have 15 firings on them (all well above max).
