There's a big difference between having an issue with something that you purchased and bringing it up and what is going on here. This clown doesn't own the scope, can't afford it and it's highly doubtful that he's even ever looked through one and is demanding a vendor answer for something that he's read on the webs.
I have also purchased items that didn't meet my expectations. I'll usually search the web to find out if it is common or discuss it with the manufacturer. If I can't live with the issue it'll hit the for sale markets slightly discounted. I am not big on drawing attention about it. If someone I know asked me about the item I will tell them my experience. But I ain't spreading it on the WWW. There's way to many individuals that do stoooopid shit for attention.

As I said earlier in this thread. I've been around for a long while and I don't post in the tech forums for many reasons. I read them while not logged in to keep from calling out bullshit.

I’ve never had any problems with BCM bolts. I have an 11.5" BCM upper that I ran hard, eventually shot out the barrel. When I swapped in a new Daniel Defense barrel, the original bolt still looked great, though I retired it at that point.

I bought that upper in 2014, and it started showing issues after about 1,000 rounds. The other two BCGs I purchased were from between 2015 and 2018. When I spoke with Chad at SOTAR about the issues, he mentioned there had been a couple of production runs where the gas key leaked and it was not something they were QC'ing at the time. Getting BCM to even acknowledge the issue was a hassle. When they finally replaced the BCGs, they didn’t provide any details about what was wrong, even after follow up.

That was also around the time Will Larson began working with Sionics to develop a perfectly in-spec AR and BCG. After the experience with BCM, it didn’t make sense to buy from them again, especially with companies like Sionics and now SOLGW committed to high standards.

ETA - they were all in different uppers.

What’s best is subjective. I listen to a lot of different players but 90% of the time if I’m picking an artist to listen to then it’s probably SRV or Led Zeppelin. What’s the best from them? All of it! If I’m playing guitar then I’ll likely play OTHAFA sometime within the first fifteen minutes. I absolutely love playing that song. That and Lenny.
