The thought that making a can from scratch is so easy and so cheap for something lasting and good. Sure you can make one out of aluminum but do you really want to? Clr eats it, if you're not careful ultrasonic can erode it. Anything that resists those is expensive for raw materials and much harder to machine. I've been a machinist for going on 20 years and I work with those materials.

The comparison with the European stuff is there are some available here that are quite cheap with better tech. We also have a much wider section. Comparing the French cans, they're cheap and mostly disposable. You aren't getting what we get here.

I need some help. I currently have a Tag Gear molle belt that I have been using and it works ok. This one:

I don't shoot comps so I don't think I want a stiff ass over/under USPSA style belt set up but I think I do want to try some kind of over/under belt set up rather than the padded molle style I have. Or do I?

I would just like something rigid and comfortable with less bulk to mount a pistol and a few mag pouches on for range use. No larping or SHTF in mind.

Any suggestions?

I'm with Rob on this one... I've removed god-only-knows-how-many factory Savage (and before that, Remington) barrels using an old vise that looks very much like the Viper but without the fancy finish. You don't need more than that if you do it right. The 'bling' vises might make it easier, or faster, but be honest with yourself - how often are you really going to be dicking around changing barrels? For some people it might make sense / be worth it. For most people, it's more of a status symbol.
