NEW From Zermatt Arms - RimX Actions

How’s the new bolt doing?

Perfect to date…
Let my kid borrow it the other day.. after a cleaning, without grease.
He took a brick and didn’t bring much back, so i’m guessing it’s close to 2000 rounds… and the last 500 or so were run dry… 😳

Edit: Pic added. Looks the same as when delivered.

Ukraine war Bullshit.

I already said it.
Martians.

That's right. And not just Nazis but very cunning Nazis, so that no one would guess that they were Nazis, they elected a Jew as president in truly independent elections.
There are synagogues operating throughout Ukraine, a Muslim by faith, a Crimean Tatar, the Minister of Defense, was also chosen for cover.
They did not even officially ban the Moscow Patriarchate of the Orthodox Church, for the same purpose.

You do know that the ultra-nationalists in Ukraine have openly threatened Zelensky's life, right?

Wanted something known to run in AA Glock kits to break it in.

Found this at WM, I have not seen it before. Seems to be a 40g version of MM.

Going to try Federal Auto Match since it is 325/$19.99 at WM but reportedly Federal is problematic. Remington Golden Bullets are supposed to run as well.
Those CCI minimags work well in the AA upper. I used them at first for break in also, but I used the 36gr. No worries. Just disassemble the slide, barrel, and lube the heck out of it and she will run. Slow, aimed, supported I had no issues holding a 1" group at 10 yards with a red dot and I'm not a great pistol shooter. After the break in the wife has run a few thousand rounds of Aguila 40 gr thru it without issues as long as I clean it and relube it every couple hundred rounds. I find she hands it off to me to clean or swap the 9mm slide/red dot combo on it for her as she struggles to field strip the Glocks.

Vertical Strings

Hold the trigger back ALL the way through the follow through. No need to crush it, but don’t let it go.

If shots are going high, your rifle’s back end is slipping down in recoil….it “wants” to be lower than you are placing it. So, lower it. Not by actually holding the rifle butt-down, but by slipping the recoil pad down a bit. Then, you shoulder the rifle to what looks right to you and the contact with your shoulder will be lower…down where it would otherwise be sliding to. Thus, no slide under recoil and no shots going high.

^ I like this in bold, and it is easy to tell if you dry fire and notice your reticle moving up a tenth or two.

There is already quite a bit of good information in the responses regarding body position and forward bipod/rest control. I just wanted to add that your rear bag control can also be the culprit...especially if the design of the stock/chassis butt end doesn't interface well with whatever bag you're using - or - if you are letting your rear hand relax at the moment the trigger is breaking, or even if you have inconsistent rear bag pressure... Those will always cause a high flyer.

KRG Midas trigger

After a good 100 dry fires the Midas actually feels better than the first initial pulls. I reduced the weights to 2.90 total with an even 50/50 split between 1st and 2nd stages. It feels excellent ! Very happy so far. I wasn't exactly feelin it in the beginning, but now it's the shizzel.

Help Me Pick Rangefinding Binos (2025)

Update of random thoughts:

Apps:
Again, my Leica's are older, so I'm still using the Leica ballistic tool from their website. It's comparatively clunky, but I've always had an easy time lining up a ballistic solution that matches AB in my kestrel. The Fury's and Vector's apps are both useable. I slightly prefer the vector x app. It's mildly annoying that I couldn't set-up my rifle profiles in the Fury app prior to pairing my Fury's. It's also annoying that I have an app for my kestrel (with AB), an app for Fury (with AB) or vector (with AB), and AB quantum. Why can't we just set-up a single profile to be used with all our widgets & gadgets that use AB....or am I retarded?

So you can use the Kestrel, Leica Geovids, and coming this summer the Vector X all from AB Quantum.

OAL for 7,62 NATO

I'm loading up 2500 or so rounds for a belt fed 1919, using cloth belts. When I seat the bullet to 2.8" (actually 2.790") I'm still .06" or so short of the cannelure. If anybody can measure a NATO ball/FMJ round for me and tell me the OAL, that would be great.
I may have a mix of pulled/new 308 and 30-06 bullets and I do have a mix of FMJ, API, AP and tracer bullets. This does complicate things, but if I get the OAL for a FMJ, I can go off of the ogive for the others.

Sharpton and his ilk are easily bought off.

New toy - Car, boat, or ???

He said 25k, he can’t even get the rolling chassis for that
If have seen a few used ones, recently for around the 25k mark, but yeah it takes a lot more more to build one from the ground up. I built this one 7 years ago now, and if I did it the exact same again, it would easily cost 15-20k more to build.

Ukraine war Bullshit.

Not even Syrsky, the current chief of the general staff, who then commanded the defense of Kyiv and gave the order to blow up the dam of the Irpin River twice. Then neutralize the enemy in the trap with artillery.
He would not have been able to think of such a thing, because he is Ukrainian and against him stood the elite of the Russians - the second army in the world.
Kyiv was saved by galactic troops, firing pointwise with invisible lasers.

It was space and terrestrial Nazis that teamed up to defeat the communists, you are missing a huge plot line here.
