How is it demanding on the equipment? Serious question as I don’t know about that sport and can see it being demanding on the shooter being slung up but not so much on the equipment. What’s their round counts in a match?
Long time NRA small bore prone competitor, typical weekend match is a 3200, 320 shots for record plus sighters, you take a brick of ammunition to a match.

Hey gents,

Wanting to get back into the game... I have been really wanting a gas gun and also a 6.5CM caliber rifle. I started doing my research here and couple other places and have come to between the GAP10G2 and Seekins SP10. From what I understand, the GAP10 is a seekins SP10 with a Bartlein barrel. I want to say the GAP10 is closer to the SP10M from what I understand as far as being "handcrafted" together by a gunsmith.

I am looking for a sub-moa gas gun. I have heard shooting gas is much different compared to bolt guns, so I welcome the challenge.

That being said, what do you guys think?

I've looked at JP as well, but those start going up in price and it's going to eat into my glass budget which is not good either. Currently I have a Bushnell OG HDMR that I will put until I get something else for this rifle.

Intended use will be occasional range time, and I'd like to shoot at a couple PRS matches in the FL area.

I found a good condition, light used SP10 6.5 for $2500. Otherwise I can't find any new SP10s anywhere, and GAP10s usually have a long wait time (unless you cath one here)

I called both companies to ask some questions, but neither has gotten back to me.

I also considered a 6 ARC, but I'm wanting a AR10 style rifle for this go around. I don't see myself shooting past 1000 (which is really as far as you can go in FL and that's a 4-5 hour drive)

I'm not a fan of reloading, but I can reload if need be. I rather just go shoot.

Silencer Central, if true Phuck them!

Yeah, customs will send folks to your door to shoot your dog! Only posted to show what they cost 'unregulated.' Noone should even *THINK* of trying to order one!

Sirhr
I just went back and tried to buy a few for my mother in law with this new information.

Couldn't make that work either.

Tell me more! What does the state of the pre-coat surface finish need to be?
Depending on the part, at least a 32 Ra finish, but I look at Rz as well. You can pass a 32 Ra, but have visible profile outages that technically, would still pass the 32 Ra (or better) call out.

@Mechdesigner may have more input on this.
