It's interesting I'm on the opposite side of the fence. I had a LRF Pulsar trail years ago and the LRF is super nice I just don't want to build a dedicated rig. I want to hunt with my stuff in the day and night. Maybe this venture will prove me wrong with the DNT Hydra. I'm kind of wanting to pick up a CV25 in 2026 though.

Most detentions are because you’re stupid and said something idiotic, which triggered the agent and he/she escalated your interaction.

Case in point, former biz partner’s sister-in-law is Indonesian. He brings her over each year for 1-2 months so his wife can have her sister around. Never an issue until back in 2019 she comes into LAX. At immigration, she gets nervous and says something retarded along the lines of “Visiting family and helping her brother-in-law with his business”. Welp… that was it. She was done. From that moment the CBP agent(s) went full apeshit and were adversarial the entire time. She got booted and was not allowed to enter — all because she said something stupid. That’s all it takes.

One. Dumb. Word.

Also, if you visit on a tourist visa but plan to get paid for doing anything — like playing an instrument — and CBP finds out or suspects it, you gonna get bounced.

Just answer any questions with yes/no or “tourist activities” and you’ll never spend more than 60 seconds at any immigration checkpoint, regardless of country.

I've only put a few rounds through one, but its absolutely in a different league than any blowback gun no matter how well tuned. Less recoil than the one MP5 I've shot, and I find the AR based ergonomics to be far superior.

I've used these quite a bit now and my only complaint so far is switching from one ballistic profile to another. Is there an actual procedure for this? Im using the AB quantum app and I have to try 900 times to finally get my "active" profile to be the one used by the binos.

And I really dislike that there seems to be no indication of what ballistic profile is being used by the binos at the time. I have to range a known distance and compare it to my known dope for that distance to make sure the binos are using the right profile.
