Why no bespoke autoloaders?

It really depends on the criteria by which you are using to compare. For example, I simply get much more enjoyment from shooting semi-auto than I do a bolt gun. The video I linked below is from JP when he's introducing his precision rimfire rifle, the JPRFX. He states that he needed the rifle to shoot 1 MOA for competition. Now if he can attain that level of accuracy but do it much quicker with follow-up shots, then it's a benefit to him.

The criteria I am using is pure accuracy and the ability to shoot a 12-15 round stage without failure to fire, failure to eject or failure to feed. Our local MD has that exact JP rifle and after 6 matches it was put back in the safe and replaced with his old bolt gun. For the record I have a Ruger 10-22 that will shoot 1 MOA and cost $400, compare that to the JP rifle you used as an example.

Cool story, broski. Changed my life. Go do several hundred mag changes, "I'm up! He sees me! I'm down!", vehicle cross loads, and principal evac/extract repetitions and let me know how things go after you refill your "I almost joined the Marines" Yeti tumbler with BRCC coffee.
glad i could change your life for the better.

7 PRC action length

I debated this ad nauseum before I went LA on this rifle w Defiance AnTi-X action. Reasons I settled on LA
  • Weight/length savings negligible in final analysis
  • Expensive action ($2000): I wanted versatility for any future builds on it (eg 300 PRC), not stuck w 6.5/7 PRC and similar
  • parts availability/compatibilit/options as mentioned
  • Resale value bc of above
Similar reason I went steel vs titanium - weight savings marginal utility, some smiths hate Ti when it’s time for rebarreling. And rifle is light enough w steel

Sig P320 Paranoia Setting in.

I saw this one as well; standing g at Parade Rest , hands clasped behind the back and M18 goes bang.

Update - I did read in my 320 owners manual that the positions of attention and parade rest and the lean and rest are known to make the 320/m18 fire - and they refer us to the part that says do not carry with round in chamber .

Worry not , your local ex IDF mall ninja has a Sig320 technique he wants to sell you in his firearms class . No more bang from your holstered Sig320 :ROFLMAO:

Why no bespoke autoloaders?

Anyone who has spent time behind both platforms has come to realize that the semi-auto is pale by comparison to most bolt guns.

I actually believe you can make money. You should make money because that's how capitalism works. You deserve to make money for filling a void that is needed AND in demand. Please, do NOT price yourself out of business out of some sort of "I have to do this for my people" low price business model. You're not working on volume here. We paid a lot to get into the game, there's no reason to look for bargains now. It's not a cheap hobby or sport and certainly not at this level. I want you to be around when I need you and not be like other's with "I should have bought spares when they were still in business."

I put a $300 trigger in my Vudoo and I spent approximately $.25 per trigger pull. I haven't kept track but I would assume I've spent more on ammo than the rifle. And I get nothing back, beyond experience, once I decide to get out, where the rifle has resale value. Especially if there's quality refurbishment parts available. Especially from the guy who designed the system. Don't get me wrong, I like saving money and I spend wisely. But I also don't like buying shit (I consider that spending wisely). There's a plethora of budget minded .22lr rifles. A Vudoo and you are not that market. I, and many others, have $3500-4000 dollar scopes on these things. $2500+ chassis'. $500 chronographs. $600+ bipods. Etc. Plus all the other ancillary equipment to go with it. Bargain shoppers are the worst. They're never happy and complain the most (I owned and operated retail business' for 25 years, I know them well;)). We know and understand quality costs and are willing to pay for it as long as it is quality. I can only imagine all the nay sayers when you began the Vudoo experiment poopooing that NO ONE will pay that much for a .22lr rifle. And lastly, learn from Vudoo's mistake of slim margins.

Also, thank you for taking this on. It's no small feat but you ARE the guy to do it. I wish you the best and lucrative future.
I hear you, and I appreciate everything you're saying, I just need the community to know that I'm not predatory. Money isn't my trophy and what I need will come because I earned it. What you've stepped up to say here, is exactly why I came back.

Thanks, Dude....
