I’d talk to a local machinist. A good one!

It’s a fixturing problem for sure.

If I were doing it, I’d strip the gun and see if the barrel is long enough to go through the headstock into a collet. Failing that, remove barrel from action. Failing that, secure the action in a four-jaw chuck and spend a lot of time centering it…run muzzle in a live center to thread.
If it’s long enough, a steady rest might be needed.

There are a bunch of ways to potentially thread. But will take the right equipment and someone go knows what they are doing!!

Not sure how hard it is to remove the barrel from a Marlin lever… but the time invested there is. LOT of time potentially saved in fixturing!

The industry is in a serious down turn right now. Many of the distilleries are in trouble with bankruptcy. Several of the big ones have already turned in their yearly reports and they are not good. Most of the big distilleries are turning in their reports next week and are expected to be the same.
Hopefully it will be good for us in reducing some of the bloated price increases over the last several years

Cracker Barrel has been on the decline for twenty years. They went from making food with fresh ingredients to canned and boxed processed garbage to reduce costs. They were an iconic place with a unique atmosphere that had it's time. They put a woman in charge that doesn't understand what has caused the slow death of the company. Rebranding is not the answer. What made the company was the location and quality of food. In today's society that doesn't work. Located at an exit along the interstate for a quality family sit down meal/experience for a family traveling. It was a relaxing break. Sit on a rocking chair on the porch while the kids played a game of checkers or a peg board game. Now a family traveling will exit for gas, McDonald's type drive thru and hit the road again to get to their destination.
