The mounts themselves are rock solid The issue was with the side clamps. That has been rectified. The why is not really relevant anymore since they finally fixed it. There are thousands of them just in the US that never had problems. There are even more overseas that work perfectly.

Ultimately if anyone has a problem I can fix it.
