Okay, scope must be loose.
Check mount with torque wrench
All screws correctly torqued.
Put fresh paper up at 100 yards
Anchor rifle down tight on metal bench
Dial up 20 Mils, then down 20 Mils, back to same spot. This isn’t a proper tracking test but it’s what I got.
What the hell has happened to my baby?
I presume mine are still pretty close, and I often play them against each other on the same bolt, and the settings seem equal. Certainly not the end all be all of validation, but I usually use fasteners and scopes that have spec overlap (mount says 15 inlb, scope says 25).Even for those that do own a torque wrench, when was the last time it was calibrated?
This, I've seen folks shoot a single 600 yard group tighter than a 100 yard one-funny what happened when they tried a second time.Shoot a 5x5 at 100 and at 300, then report back…
Not nice looking that's for sure! After looking at the tenon threads, they look rough to me also. I’m curious what your thoughts are Frank?
Did you end up calling seekins?resolved. Overspring buffer, under weight buffer. Stepped up to a H3 and put in a springco green. Allowed me to tune the gas down a good amount. I think the real culprit was actually the extractor... Swapped in the JP extractor and realized how significantly harder it was to get it back in. Anyways, issue is 100% resolved. Runs like a sewing machine
