Is Campi Flagrei about to cook off?

I live in a city built on a field of 53 volcanos, ranging from about 190 000 to 550 years old.

I could see five cones from the window behind me if I looked outside (and it wasn't dark right now.)
We get a new one every few thousand years. But the next one could be next week, or another 25 000 years in the future.

Our ones erupt just once in each location for a few days up to a few months, then stop until another one pops up somewhere else.

Seven volcanos, including the biggest and newest one, Rangitoto, are within 5000m of my house.

Your food isn't food

I remember walking through the strawberry fields near our house growing up in FL, to get to the woods we played in as kids… of course we always grabbed handfuls of the berries OTW. They were the same red and juicy that the bRit chick shows.

I haven’t seen a real vine-ripened strawberry or tomato in years; not one. All have had that mealy/mushy inside despite a nice ripened look. Probably chemically ripened so they can make it to market.

Sad.

Edit: strawberries from yesterday’s grocery store run…and these were the best of the ones we cut up this morning. :-/

The Shot You’ll Never Forget Giveaway - Enter To Win A Barrel From Rifle Barrel Blanks!

My first coyote...

Now to begin this story the moto I had at the time was; if at first you dont succeed....reload... I had just turned 16 and me and my brother were driving out to the ranch during our winter break from school. We waddled out into the snow to try and shoot the elusive coyotes that have managed to dodge our bullets like they do in the matrix. I was carrying my grandfathers Ruger mk77 in 270 win with a classic 4x leupold scope and 4 cartridges in the rifle... my brother had my 1909 Argentine Mauser with 2 bandoliers worth or stripper clips. We headed out to the frontlines where we knew we seen coyotes near the cattle every day and had fresh snow. Eventually I see one at 300 yards to my inexperienced eye and I begin launching 270s at it with piss poor precision.. well my indirect fire caused another coyote to run out of the trees right pass my brother who began his volley of fire at the coyote and nailed it trhu the hind legs and its tinder bits. It continued on like the wounded dog it was and attempted to climb the barbed wire fence.. At this point I was out of ammunition and butt hurt my brother shot a coyote.. He kept missing the coyote as it tried to climb the fence so as he fumbled to reload the old mauser with a striper clip. I took the rifle and clip from his hands and began another volley of fire strikeing it 2 times... it flops over the fence and serpentines thru the 3' of fresh snow trying to get away from the joke of shooters we are. We chase it down with a single round left in the mauser, me now haveing a asthma attack layed in the snow 10' away from the coyote who was cornered at the other fence 300 yards away from where we originally shot it.... As I caught my breathe I walked up to this mutilated coyote... My brother who had so much faith in my shooting abilities told me If I missed he had a knife to finish of the coyote. Fortunately I was smart enough just to lay the barrel 4" from its ear and finished the job... we drug it home like we found bigfoot as if you knew how much ammunition we have used up to get one was a huge deal for us and my grandfather got it tanned with 9 bullet holes in it from a 7.65 mauser... Not a very snipery shot but we didn't really have great teacher at a young age. Once I had a real job got into prs and now the shit shows are not as horrific...

Ukraine war Bullshit.

Ukies conomic hardships also stem out of them wanting to sucker up to the west and accepted their “economic solutions” which were neocolonial in essence, give credit they are unable to pay, promote corruption through NGOs and owned politicians. Same thing EU does as its economic goal is to make national states interdependent from one another and none totaly self sufficient. I think its clear why so as independent self sufficient countries cannot be bullied by unelected bureaucrats.
Also important communism fell because of economic hardship and not vice versa, its important to be aware of that as western system will also implode or is imploding and resolution to that implosion can be: nuclear war, nationalist revolution, neofeudal darkages, civil and racial war with total chaos.
Some say its only natural and cycle that cannot be beat and for those aware best action to take is to pour nice cold one, fuck if still able, eat something nice, have fun with friends while it lasts and take at least ine SoB to the underworld when time comes.

BORDER SEARCH EXCEPTION | Electronic Device Seizure at International Ports of Entry

As was covered above this kind of gestapo bullshit has been going on for far too long. Your options are to open the phone and let them copy your entire life into the database or to tell them that you refuse and let them keep the phone. There is also no guarantee that the phone won't be opened by the Feds later and your info still added to a Fed database or three. Also, never ever let the phone leave your sight because if it does you have to assume that it is now compromised and has Fed issued spyware on it in addition to the contents being stolen.

If you are a US citizen and the folks that want access to the phone are US Customs Officers you might spend some time in detention depending on how uptight the agents are and how badly they want into the phone. If you are a US citizen in a foreign country you have no rights to refuse to open the phone so you could be on the receiving end of some real fuckery.

The safest thing to do is to travel without devices and buy cheap and disposable ones when you get to your destination. Then wipe and destroy them before you leave. That is bit extreme but any other option risks government agents having access to all the things you store in your phone or that your phone has access to.

Finally, this regulation applies within 50 miles of any US border. So theoretically this applies to about 2/3 of all Americans. It's just that law enforcement hasn't decided to really test this yet by randomly grabbing somebody off the street and demanding access to their devices when they happen to be within 50 miles of the border.

Prefit for impact 737?

You get what you pay for.....hard to not go with barrels made under the same roof as your action..buy a guy who owns part of impact.

They’re not made or chambered under the same roof or even in the same town, but yeah. On the other hand there are
also a LOT of Altus-chambered barrels out there and not many complaints I’ve ever heard about them, and not typically cheap either.

Thunderbeast RR end cap adapter group buy - 338 ultra and magnus

No they can’t do that. It would be a legal nightmare for TBAC. It would be seen as complicity if the ATF goes after this product and they are the deep pocket player. Leave them out of this, their legal team has already made their position clear.
Your first three sentences are total nonsense.

Thunderbeast RR end cap adapter group buy - 338 ultra and magnus

Seems pretty off base considering so many other companies have removable end caps, recoil x brakes exist, and Dead Air also makes an end cap baffle.

I do not have inside information from TBAC so this is my own speculation. I think the advice TBAC received is based partly on a letter ATF published on June 19, 2006, which said “[h]owever, any silencer components parts sold to unlicensed persons must be marked and serialized individually, as all such parts must be registered, identified, and transferred pursuant to NFA requirements.” On November 20, 2023 ATF doubled down on that old position in a discussion about solvent traps by mentioning end caps in the context of a “combination of parts” and “any part intended only for use” in assembling or fabricating a silencer. These quotes are from the letter, but also are in the definition of a silencer in 18 U.S.C. 921(a)(25).

Trade groups have asked for clarification that as far as I know has not been given. The PARTS Act was reintroduced this congressional session but so far has gone absolutely nowhere in either the House or Senate (not even a committee hearing). If the act passed it would specifically authorize sale of component parts like end caps by redefining a silencer as the outer tube/primary housing.

I get where TBAC is on this. I would probably protect my business this way, too, until the dust settles on the current regulatory wishy-washy overreach.

AB Quantum and Sig kilo 10k gen2

Asking for confirmation from anyone who has the AB Quantum app and the sig kilo 10k gen 2. I am having an issue with the 10ks not sending the azimuth to the app under the target tab. If i range a target the inclination does change on app to what the binos are showing in the hud but the azimuth( direction of fire) does not update on the app in the target screen under azimuth. only the phone icon when pressed changes the azimuth. the hud in bino's do show the change in dof but doesn't seem to push the data for azimuth to the bino's. anyone experience this?
