So we did a science experiment the other night. Been wanting to try this for a while now. Took some of the brisket I smoked about a month ago, some provolone, and brioche buns and made brisket French dips. Used some demi-glace to make an au jus. So damned good!!

We cut customer supplied barrels if you have something you want to use specifically. The availability of product drives the industry, if you have something in hand that you want cut it's not a problem.

We have a long standing service with Evolved Ballistics to custom cut Proof blanks if someone wants a barrel they don't stock/make as a prefit.

It's not a problem for us if you have a loyalty to a blank maker. This business started that way, we just can't maintain our customer base's expectations waiting for 14 months on blanks from some of the big names and we have the capability to make excellent barrels here.

But having a prefit guy that gets contours right without having to communicate with multiple parties all for < $800 is a win. And still much more consistent and reliable compared to something like preferred.

PVA is basically the Amazon shopping experience + 2 weeks turnaround- just click the button and it shows up. I shouldn't have to talk to people on the phone to get a good barrel.

Agreed that is just the fact that you have to have a smaller diameter barrel. You just need a smith who has a smaller Tikka size barrel.

Me too, but there is a true NY style pizza joint down here in our town that beats all those manufactured pizza chains all to hell. Huge proper NY style pizzas and killer Strombolis that are the best. Real fresh mozzarella cheese and not the filler crap used in most cheap places. The difference is real.

I may try the quick tortilla thing sometime.

Pretty sure it was just the standard USMC clip slotting that was done on A1’s, I didn’t ask specifically but was told it mounted up perfectly.

I saw the short video clips of the new comp brake that was posted on instagram two days ago and watched the video linked a few replies up . It pushed me to buy a Scythe just for that. I used the O.G. 3 port brake with my 7 SAW and it did well for being on a lightweight rifle. I have high hopes for the new brake.

It's not your fault at all. An off the shelf barrel should shoot Horandy ammo no problem.

Those tools will only be useful to you if you reload. You can only get comparative measurements from ammo with them.

Having Hornady check ammo would carry the most weight. Hopefully centurion won't make you go through all that.

There is always the option of sending it to someone else to cut the throat a little deeper.
