Sidearms & Scatterguns Pistol guys , what recoil spring weight for this G Lock ?

11lb-13lb
To give you an idea I ran a 11lb spring in my 38 super open gun in USPSA running 124’s at 1340fps.

This, but I personally prefer running hotter ammo like S&B 124 grain with my G19 Radian for reliability and to make the comp more effective. Though this is set up more for carry (Minus the Surefire) believe it or not haha

Vudoo closed the doors…

So, let me get this straight....My tractor threw the PTO shaft and if I fix it, I can select "YES" on the Vudoo Gun Works job application where it asks, "Can you fix a tractor?" I mean, I don't live on a farm, but my property is zoned Agricultural....does that count?

(Sorry my friend (@David Lott ), just messin with you :ROFLMAO: )

PRS Talk New shooter timing out a lot

100% this. Speed is definitely not about moving fast or shooting fast. Speed is being accurate and efficient in getting into position and being on target in the scope.

The best shooter in our region (and one of the best in the nation) looks like he's moving slow when he shoots, but his body positioning and target acquisition is perfect so he actually gets through the course of fire quickly. Here's an old video of him that I found, but I'd argue he's an even better shooter now than he was back then.

Go get a 5' step ladder and dry fire a ton, getting good at getting into position and on target.

The best and fastest shooters always look like they are moving in slow motion. Every movement is intentional, and these guys/gals know how to get into a solid position with the least amount of movement. Economy of motion.

I remember when I first started shooting PRS, I was always impressed with how easy and effortless Matt Brousseau made a stage look. It looked like he was moving in slow motion.

House Budget Proposal to remove Tax on Suppressors but not remove it from the NFA

Amends Bill:H.R.3944 — Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2026

But one of them submitted a similar amendment to the OBBB ... this is hardly anything new.
Ah yes, I do remember seeing that, but I was busy and it blew by.

Maggie’s THE "NOM NOM NOM" THREAD

Doesn't Florida get freezes?
Or is there a certain threshold the plant can take?
My plants are partially protected at the edge of woods and we haven’t had a hard freeze here in many years. We are probably due for one. But pineapple is of the Bromeliaceae family and it’s harder foliage is more tolerant of extremes than many tropical/sub tropical plants.

We are probably due for a hard freeze one of these years. I’ll cross that bridge when or if it arrives.

Brand New to Reloading: 7PRC Load Development

The one 223 that im running with light projectiles is a RR arms rifle 1:9 twist and I run VV N-133 with a 40gn nosler ballistic tip at around 25.5 grns and she's in the .3 to.5's.. very good shooter
Hey all,

I’ve never reloaded and am looking to see what I can do in working up a load for my 7PRC. I’ve done a fair bit of reading but would really appreciate input from those with firsthand experience, especially loading for the Berger 195s.

Right now I’ve got:
  • ~60 rounds of factory 175 ELD-X left (pre powder change so getting 2,915 out my 22” barrel)
  • ~160 pieces of once-fired Hornady brass
  • Access to a buddy’s press and reloading gear
I know Hornady brass might be a little soft and not as consistent as ADG/Peterson/Lapua, but I’d like to make the most of what I have before upgrading.

Reloading Plan

Here’s the process I’m planning to follow:
  1. Deprime and clean the brass
  2. Use a dummy round and comparator to find the lands, then back off 0.010-0.020” for initial seating
  3. Run a powder charge workup to find a velocity node for best SD/ES across similar charges
  4. Once I find a charge that looks good, I’ll fine-tune seating depth for accuracy
My main goal is low SDs and consistent accuracy at distance. I’m not trying to push speed, especially if it means burning out barrels and pressure signs, but I’m hoping to get at least 2800 out of my 22” barrel, which seems doable based on others’ 7 PRC load data. From what I’ve calculated, that’s the bottom end to keep the Berger 195s stable.

I’d also be open to the Berger 180s if they prove easier to tune, but I like the idea of running the heavier 195s in this caliber for the extra BC.

Powder Options

I’ve been looking at:
  • H1000
  • N560
  • N565
  • N570
It seems like:
  • N565/N570 offer higher velocities due to the size of the powder and case capacity, but might be more temperature sensitive and tougher on barrels
  • H1000 seems to be more temp stable and forgiving, even if slightly slower
Any input on how these powders behave with the 7 PRC, especially with Hornady brass, would be really helpful.

Dies

Haven’t bought dies yet. Do I need to jump into high-end dies to get .5 MOA or better, or will I be just fine with solid full-length sizing dies? Trying to keep it simple but not cut corners if it matters for consistency.

Primers

My plan was to run whatever large rifle magnum primers I can find are. Not sure if there’s stuff to watch out for from different brands, but figured there’s not much variation there just making sure I can ignite the powder.

Open to Suggestions

Totally open to any advice, this is my first time reloading. My buddy is helping me get set up, so I’m more focused on learning a repeatable, consistent process than squeezing out every last FPS. If you’ve got tips for brass prep, pressure signs to watch for in 7 PRC, or seating depth tricks, I’m all ears.

Thanks in advance for any guidance, excited to start tuning and see what this rifle can do!
See if you can get retumbo. Hornady brass is good but shows ejector swipe quicker than adg brass. That's the brass to get.

I've got a 26" and running the 180 eldm which in my opinion are the bullets to use for hunting. Alot of shooters in the west run match bullets and call them killing bullets. If your not hunting rino or not going with all copper (barnes) I'd just run the 180s. I like barnes alot just hadn't got to use em on an animal yet.

With 180s eldm, adg brass, 13ths off lands, 2ths headspace, cci br2s, retumbo 69.0 grains = 3,014 es23, SD 7.8 and 0.51 moa. SD was alot higher during the test but seemed fine out to 1100 yards. May try retumbo.

Just saying retumbo is the way to go. See

I might try reloader 26 next though seems that's what the 7prc was built around.

Maggie’s New South Park Season

I haven't seen it yet, I may get paramount so I can....I was hoping to wait until Landman Season 2 and (fingers crossed) another season of Lioness to subscribe again so I have several things to watch.

What would have made Trump cool, is if he came out and said that South Park has a long history of making fun of everybody, and that he can find the humor in their depiction of him on their show. Instead he attacked 'em like he usually does.

Maggie’s Motivational Pic Thread v2.0 - - New Rules - See Post #1

Been having trouble inserting pics as images and not attachments.
I think it’s probably the size of your picture files. Modern cell phone pics are huge. Your linked one is almost 5MB. I’ve found that if you duplicate then crop the picture a bit, it usually makes for a smaller format to post here. Or, if that doesn’t work, I’ve resorted to texting it to someone then copy and save the sent file. Quick easy ways that don’t involve using a picture editing program/app.
