Defiance Deviant Tactical action issues

Bought a lightly used custom rifle - around 150 rounds out of it. Has a defiance deviant tactical and bartlein. Bolt binds up a bit when it's fully at the back and you try to rack it forward to pick up a round. If you don't have it held loosely and push perfectly straight, the bolt front end will just get "stuck" on the action somehow and not move. Happens pushing too far inside, outside, up, or down.

Gun was cerakoted by the custom builder when they originally made it about 10 years ago. Thoughts?

I owned this rifle when the movie was made. Well the barreled action at least. It was a Rem 700 VS in .308 mounted in a AI stock with a new square shaped shroud to make it look more like an AI.

I swapped the rifle for a McMillan A3 stock.

Another of my rifles, my TBA M40A1 is in the movie, near the start where Berenger's character is walking behind a group of shooters on a firing line. All the shooters and their rifles are out of focus and the camera is on Berenger.

A good friend of mine supplied the guns for the movie and I hired two to him.

Emotional roller coaster: 6 powder droppers in < 3 years!

The hunt begins for me to find something similar now.

On a different note, haven't heard back from Ingenuity yet regarding trickler purchase. I'm going to assume for now they aren't available anymore. If I can find a used one, how much time am I actually going to be saving vs a manual trickler in terms of rounds per minute, assuming I'm able to adjust the manual thrower to be consistently under by 0.2-0.5gr. Manual trickler just because while I may not always get kernel level precision, the simplicity of it appeals to the constraints I have with my current and foreseeable for the near future setup (namely, no permanent fixtures).

I started with a manual trickler; the Ingenuity is considerably faster. It’s totally worth it if you can get one.

Follow my 7 dumbo project aka 7 dasher!!

Here's a picture of some dummy rounds from when I was designing the reamer. Left to right, 190 atip, 190 berger, 180 eldm. I may end up shooting the 180 eldm yet.
I have been working on finding max charges with multiple powders with atips while fireforming brass. Powders I have tried, 8208, cfe223, RL15, RL15.5, varget.
The 8208 velocity was lower then I wanted, cfe223 yields the highest velocity at 2510. I think h4895 might be the perfect powder for this but I dont have any at the moment.
Haha! Looks ridiculous and I am 110% all for it! Love the name too. I would not have expected that speed. Looking forward to see how far you can take this project.
