“WE CANNOT BUILD BANANAS IN AMERICA”

Where we sit right now is a joke and our politicians are bought and paid for retards. We are not in a position of strength in any way but militarily. My view isn't narrow. I partake in and am involved in industries being damaged by the tariffs being tossed around. The common man will have to foot the bill for all of it as usual.
I agree with this all, but my point is that it took many years to put us here and there’s no magic pill to fix it overnight. All this talk about being tough or suffer the consequences and when the going gets a bit rough, the complaining is through the roof.

Maggie’s Motivational Pic Thread v2.0 - - New Rules - See Post #1

My wife's is really flat and thin so it looks humongous. I said it was "princess cut", but that is a square (I just learned from googling). The issue is I don't know WTF I'm talking about. It is more of a cross between a pear shape and a trillion, but not so round, because so few facets.

The one below is a modern 6 carat which is about the same size if you look at it from the top. There is very little depth to it though. Not that it isn't a "big diamond", but it looks more than twice the size of what a modern one of the same weight looks like. It has flats on the sides where the one below is rounded, and has probably 1/4 as many facets. They just did it all by hand back then and didn't have the tech to cut them so many times. My guess is that so many facets give it more "fire".

But really, fuck diamonds. Spend as little on them as you can, because there are so many of them they're worth very little. They only have value because they occur in so few places, and in those places cartels control the supply. They are artificially expensive unlike rubies, emeralds, or sapphires which are actually rare.

Why do people load so hot?

This was at 150 not 100 but I have seen a pretty consistsnt shift between PP and varget with this rifle
Different powders do seem to cause POI shift. My point more was it's not caused by speed. something does seem to go on with harmonics or something.
I don't know if you've seen those Tim Sellars videos on Positive compensation. But IMO he does have a point, I've seen it several times where you'll be shooting groups in a powder test, you go up a grain and the group shifts down a couple tenths.

Ukraine war Bullshit.

Vortex Razor LHT

A while back I had a chance to look at the service data for this scope. If memory serves me right, there were a few that came back because the illumination push button was acting up. All other complaints could not be tracked down to any scope problems.
The couple that I have tried to diagnose for people over the years (complaints about not holding zero) were not scope problems either. It was fairly evenly divided between mount issues and the user's superclavicular issues.

I love my two. Never a problem

With Anzio essentially defunct, is anyone else making 20mm or larger modern rifles available in the U.S.?

Yeah it’s easy to overlook in the loading manual - who would think that u would use a rifle primer in a pistol cartridge?

But it is clearly stated in the reloading manuals, because the anvil on a pistol primer is not thick and strong enough to handle the PSI that a 460 generates.

There was an article 10 or 15 years back in American rifleman about the engineering challenges of developing that round including heat treating the frame, polishing the cylinders for extraction, using rifle primers, a whole host of things that you don’t have to worry about with a regular pistol Cartridge

Looking for an an affordable and accurate AR-15

Currently have an FN15 TAC3 that's an excellent rifle. Lightweight, 1000% reliable, runs smooth as silk, etc. But my fall/winter prairie dog trip is becoming an annual thing and upgrading my AR-15 is the only real way to get a varmint gun.

I've been a big Rock River fan over the years...is that my best bet for sub-$1000 accuracy? Lots of used ones for reasonable prices.

Anything else I should be considering? $1500+ is not in the cards.

My rock river bull barrel varmint rifle has always been a tack driver. Make up a load with flat base hollow point varmint bullets and have fun.

Ukraine war Bullshit.

Looks like Russia is holding in this area.

Yes we did assist them and pleged support before Russia moved in.

Could you imagine long time Russian Politician in Canada or Mexico speaking about supporting a revolution. Do you think the US Gov would just sit back and do nothing?

The denial we bear or share in responsibility of this conflict is severely disturbing to me, and the amount of people who seemingly dismiss it.

Do you think the US military would try to thunder run Mexico city and utterly fail on the battlefield and world stage, lose 1 million soldiers in 3 years, a third of our strategic bomber fleet, lose a Ford class carrier and freedom of navigation in the gulf of Mexico, stall in Juarez and have Russian boomers excitedly reporting that despite taking over 300% casualties we've finally managed to capture Tijuana after reducing it entirely to rubble, while dismantling any non state-approved media outlets and openly murdering any gov official that wasn't hell bent on annexing Mexico?

.300wm - .300wsm

Win mag. I don’t chase speed so that improves barrel life a bit I’m at 2650 in summer on this load (18” barrel). I’m interested to see how long this will make it since I’m 700 rounds over the military expectation of a win mag but it’s shooting better than ever. 300 pieces of lapua with 8 firings on each
Nice. 2650 from an 18" still sounds pretty impressive, what's the powder charge ?

I'm curious as to your cleaning regimen also. I'm a firm believer in clean barrels last longer. Just something about grinding all the grit and hard carbon into the bore over 2-300 rounds that doesn't sound good to me.

Last I scoped my 300, I was surprised at how good the throat still looked, and how little firecracking there was.

LuckyDuck Reviews: Timex Expedition Titanium Automatic

G-Shock atomic solar. Currently, I have 3. One of them is over 21 years old and still going strong. I figure they'll outlive me.

As only accurate rifles are interesting, so are only accurate watches. Though I own ONE, automatics are not accurate enough for me.

But if you're really wanting a nice titanium field watch, Citizen makes one - Promaster. I have one. If you look around on Watchrecon you can find them for much less.

PortaJohn

He can't...........he would be in position to become President if something happened to Vance...........according to the written laws, that cannot happen.............
22nd Amendment :
"No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this Article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this Article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this Article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term."

My reading of the 22nd Amendment is that it clearly pertains to elections and the installation into the office due to elections ONLY. It says nothing about assuming the Presidency through the chain of command or any other means. It is silent on all means to ascend to the Presidency EXCEPT elections. I do not see how any Judge who is fluent in the English language could twist and bend that to mean anything other than exactly what it says.

Totally legal for Trump to run as VP, and also totally legal for him to assume the Presidency if something happens to The President (not an election). He just can't run and be elected to the office of The President again. It'd take me two seconds to write that amendment so that a two termer could never again SERVE as President, and therefore not run as VP, but that-is-not what it says.

Surefire ICAR

If you're gonna goldilocks might as well goldilocks all the way and do a midsized AR between the 15 and 10... Lucky13? Seems like that with a bimetal case could really push a 110-120gr ATip pretty quick and a 90 ELD VT would be pretty legit too.

On that note, can you share anything about possible upcoming 25 CM loadings besides the ELD M / X already out? A VT would be sweet
Bimetal / hybrid cases chew up chambers below the 0.2" line, ask me how I know.
