Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Join contestThanks, it's graphite black, noveske bazooka green and sig gray. That cerakote is big sexy. Might have to do a color change on my sage green
Cousin in Ruidoso went the house this morning and reported a total loss. Water when as high as the kitchen countertop and structural structural damage. Hope to salvage some of the furniture I made for it and going to be a tear down with no plans to rebuild. We have house in the Upper Canyon that survived last years fire but the flood caused some damage. We were just going to start on the renovation but now this hit. Highest crest recorded and not sure whether well have a house or not.
I haven’t been to Jasper but have done all the Bella Vista trails at some point.I ride there time to time with my wife. The stuff in Bella Vista is pretty good, the last time we were there we did the Tunnel Vision & Back 40 loop. It's pretty sweet to have a 50 ish mile single track loop with minimal repeat. There are some fun trails out there. I like Hobbs as well but damn I'm destroying tires every trip. I am a weight weenie and cringe at tires that are over 700g. What tires are you having good luck with out there?
I am currently on a pair of Continental Dubnatols but I haven't been out there with them yet.
Have you ridden out in Jasper? I enjoy the Upper Buffalo Headwaters trail system and Rope Swing has put a lot of money into the trails at Horseshoe Canyon Ranch. They are pretty good.
I think you have shown a spotlight in your post on whats wrong with it.....magpul.Nonsense. There is an explicit set of standards for MLOK. The wiki page has a pretty good overview but you can get the entire standard from Magpul. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M-LOK
Whether certain manufacturers adhere to those standards is a different story. Ironically, to my knowledge, AI has never published the standard for Keyslot. But MLOK absolutely has a standard for dimensions, fasteners, torque, etc. It has a full TDP.
Man, I can always count on a select few members here to take a good, wholesome Sig bashing thread and make it gay…![]()

They are also building a downhill park here, complete with a lift to the top. Supposed to be open next year.
you should learn to shoot better. The cops, not the firearms.
Damn man you need a better brake! lolWhen I'm shooting through virgin brass for my 375, I tend to ask friends to come to the range and run through a number of rounds.
One trip I was going up to a private range and a friend was coming along. So, I ended up loading 30 rounds for the 375 for load dev, and 30 virgin, thinking that my friend would go through the 30 virgin rounds. The night before, he texts me and says he has Covid. Well... shit...
- I go by myself.
- I run the 30 for load dev
- My shoulder is going
- My cheek is feeling it
- I run the first 10 virgin rounds
- My shoulder hurts
- My cheek hurts
- By the last 10, I'm aiming at the target, pulling my head away from the cheek riser and scope, and wincing as my shoulder takes the hit
EDIT: As an aside, I can shoot my 300 PRC all day, and while my shoulder may feel it afterward, it never "hurts"
