Work compensation --how would you handle this?

Good advice above, so I won’t repeat it but will add that many times the actual payout decisions aren’t made by your boss, their boss, or even the head MFWIC at your site. Most promotions and EOY review/pay decisions are made at the Regional level or above for larger corporations with multiple sites. Your local leadership and HR team will have a lot of input, but almost no say in the final decision.

Your situation could be a result of something as simple as you already being at the top of your pay band for your role, or there may be an effort to cut headcount for people in your role and level, and they’re simply removing incentives to encourage folks to leave voluntarily.

Or they simply screwed up! LoL… Certainly a possibility. Sounds like there was a lot of chaos in your department when your boss passed away, and if the dead dude wasn’t there to fight for you and your team at the regional-level, or hell, even the inter-department level rack and stack, you and your team likely lost out on some of whatever was on the table for raises and bonuses. It ain’t nice, or “fair”, but it’s dog eat dog out there man, and Managers from other departments are gonna fight for their people first. Even knowing that going in, his boss may have been swayed by someone else going to the mat for their team and you and your team got the short end of the stick.

Regardless of what happened, it’s worth a discussion with your site lead and top HR manager… be respectful, and lay it out like you did above.

I’d also ask if I was being considered to fill the role vacated by my dearly departed boss, and if not what I needed to do to be competitive for that role.

Good luck!

Ukraine war Bullshit.

China is the serious threat. Russia isn’t even communist anymore.
Yep.

China is patient and very purposeful with every move. They are in it for the long haul although some believe that they are realizing too late that they have committed an irreversible slide to national suicide with their last 2 decades of birthrate controls.

Some have solid bets that Xi Jinping realizes this. They postulate that the Chinese have a small window of opportunity to accelerate their ambitions before the cultural and governmental meltdown. If so, that is likely the real danger for sure.

6mm BR

I must have gotten enough in Lash, checking my notes from years ago I found 35gr staball 6.5 gave me 2910fps with 105 mb’s, max fill under a 112 mb is 34.5gr but I have not used this combo yet.

I wasn’t aware of that and didn’t try it myself. I guess my memory is faulty. No surprise there.
I've seen data where staball 6.5 is used with the 110-115 bullets. I dont think it does well with bullets under 100gr.

I wasn't impressed with staball match in my 6 dasher.

that is my take also. Russia is not commie and China is but in a very non marxist way. seems to me they have changed since the 90s. as far as i know they have invaded anyone only 2x since 1400. their wars have either been intramural or the result of being invaded. 2 tries at Japan were mongol driven, not Han. 1200s i recall. now they are doing different. their attacks on us are multi faceted. they admit to a "total" war by all methods. they seem to be winning with a lot of help from our elites and pols.

When I was in the Air Guard they refused to promote me. My asshole commander said," If you think you can do better someplace else then go." Next drill weekend I handed him a 2096 for transfer to a different unit.

Worked civilian job for over 20 years. Got a new boss who was a straight up alkie. Took an interview elsewhere and got a 100% pay raise and a new job the following month.

Don't say it, do it and get on with your life.

I have said from the beginning that Russia is not a threat to the US and that the fact they couldn't take out Uke quickly and has drug our for 3 years with no real end in sight.
I've also stated that I believe the intel about Russia being powerful is just a way to justify spending/throwing more money to the MIC.

false flag? have to ask what a "private co" is doing in a war zone. was Ford motor co working in London in 1941?
Agreed.

The article literally states "an American-owned electronics company".
To me, this = supplier of anything electronic going into organically produced UA drones and other "Mil" equipment.

Soooo..... fuck yes. I would consider them a legit target.

Another thing. . . . the dumbasses trying to drive the narrative love to point out how close to other NATO country borders some of these targets are. Tigga please. . . . . It doesn't matter if they are 5 feet from another border, if the strike is made on Ukrainian turf, it is in bounds and fair play.

Cuncha bunts.

not saying Russia is weak. just pointing it out that the neocons can't have it both ways. actually seems like the Russ are working in a much different, smarter, measured, much more conservative fashion than ww2 or even Afghanistan. it appears that ground combat has changed radically at this time. the Russians seem to be on the cutting edge of that. this despite the US/NATO led, equipped and trained in the old (5 years ago) style.
Uke was prob the best army in Europe. shown to be 2nd best but very tough and brave for sure.

wonder if the "private US connected" site was another one of Fauci/CIA's bio labs. hope Putin found and destroyed all of them and anyone working in them. i heard there were at least 6.

Concern about MK22 handguard cracking during first barrel change

I'm hypothesizing here but I think maybe Barrett's manual doesn't help this situation either.
1755827460428.png

Note in this screenshot from the Barrett instruction video they specifically note to start the torque at rear action screw but alternate tightening between the front and rear.

1755827890875.png

Both instructions are saying similar things but read one way, the manual is instructing the end user to go to full torque on the screws starting at the rear and then going to the front one. Looking at the OP's pictures again it looks like the failure occurred at the front retaining screw so if he was tightening the front on the way to 140 in/lbs before tightening the rear, I think it's very possible that caused the failure. Of course this is all just speculation based on my observations.
