Oh come on @theLBC Don't give me a frowny face.... You know you laughed like it was SNL in the '70's.

This is some funny shit right here!

Especially since Dana Plato was doing BBC porn...

Yes, I was aware of 1980's scandals and Dana Plato porn....

Sig P320 Paranoia Setting in.

It's a SIG. Trade it for anything other than a hi point and you are good to go.

Keep it for 20 years and it will be rare and coveted and bring big $$$.

When all of then get destroyed and you have an original... collectors will drop to their knees and swallow to get one.

So buy every one you can get for peanuts.

Just 'sayin.

That’s incredible. Beautiful work!
Thanks, I’ll tell him. Since he worked for a while in a guitar store with a real luthier and knowledgeable craftsman, he knew which components worked best with each other for a specific result. He just didn’t yet know the wood working and craft parts.

He says it is still his sweetest sounding and smoothest guitar.

Precision Rifle Gear New Athlon Rangecraft Chronograph-Garmin Xero Killer?

Yesterday the Athlon Rangecraft Velocity Pro Radar Chronograph arrived. I should have a chance to some initial testing with this on Tuesday but for now I will give you some first impressions and photos. I was quite pleased when I opened the chrono to discover it comes in with a nice, snug fitting, protective case that fits the Chrono along with it’s tripod , charging cable, and manual. This is a big win over the complete absence of a case with the Garmin. The chrono itself is very similar to the Garmin in a lot of ways. Obviously, the form factor is quite similar if slightly larger. The menu system is also quite reminiscent and both mount to tripods using the same ¼” standard studs. They even both include a perfunctory tripod of which the Athlon unit is weighted metal and so significantly heavier. I recall the street prices were expected around $350 at announcement. Unsurprisingly, tariffs have added some to this and I see current advertised prices of $399 at a variety of sites. This is still a huge amount less than the $599 the Garmin C1 goes for. I’m climbing the walls a little for range time to see how things go especially since I have seen good things from the reviewers who had units arrive a day or two before mine and already have posted reviews. Obviously if performance is comparable with the Garmin this is a huge win at 2/3rds the price and with a nice case. Anyhow, I’ll leave you with the spec sheet, a nice unboxing pic, and a side by side with the Garmin C1.

New Schmidt Bender?

What I’m really trying to do is to get you to spill the beans if S&B is dropping an uncorked 6-36 in the US around ~Dec ‘25 / Jan 26’. lol
I spoke with a S&B rep at an event recently and he told me to wait until after December to purchase a S&B! He said they are stocked up and ready to sell as soon as the patent ends. Not going to say the rep name or event in case he wasn't supposed to spill the beans! Seemed to infer SHOT 2026 will be awesome for many manufacturers.

Precision Rifle Gear New Athlon Rangecraft Chronograph-Garmin Xero Killer?

Adding an SD card slot, interface, and software adds engineering time and manufacturing costs. That probably 1% of its user base will ever want and half of that will actually use it. Wireless options are cheaper and majority of the populace understands and is quite fluent with already.

I agree with you with data storage and organization would be nice. But if we could only get one thing done right, I want the tool to measure precisely and flawlessly first.
Agreed. You can export it to a .csv file if for whatever reason you need to keep the data for longer term. I see zero value in an SD card slot.

Update 5-3-2025

I have a couple of big things today. First up, I finished up the editing on the PurePrecision SKLTN review video. As with my other video reviews, this is a condensed video version of the full written PurePrecision SKLTN review.

Login to view embedded media PurePrecision SKLTN action and Altitude composite stock video review

Next up when it comes to videos will be the two Kelbly’s site visit videos I shot a few weeks ago but haven’t yet had a chance to edit. I don’t think these will require a ton of time to edit though so I don’t think it will be long.
