I was looking at the MPA Vanquish chassis and I can't tell if the buttpad and cheek rest has the adjustability on the MDT Acc Elite.

With a capable gun, if you aren't handloading, you will also need capable factory ammo.

in 55gr loads, both the Hornady 55 V-max & the ADI 55 Sierra BK are good; I don't buy either regularly as I handload both bullets, but the factory ammo I have shot of both are decent.

In a heavier bullet, factory loaded, the IMI 77gr Razorcore has been good in every rifle I've shot it in; 77gr Razorcore is the group on the right.

Do I need to grab all three bore cleaners or just the Eliminator? Might grab the C4 and Eliminator, since I have some that have not been cleaned real well lately.

A few years ago when the 3.5-21x44 was first conceived, i used to consult for Delta. The initial concept behind this scope came out of that, largely because i was semi obsessed with a compact precision oriented allrounder at the time and formulated a set of requirements for it. There are a few scopes on the market that came out of that. Given the same OEM, i would guess the erector system is similar to the DMR Bushnell (those are commonly shared between different designs), but i have reasonable confidence that the rest of this scope has been unique to Delta until Revic picked it up.

Note that this data is for the 6BR Remington, which differs only in the depth of the bullet in the case due to a shorter throat. So these loads will likely be lower than what you’ll see for the Norma, where the bullet is seated further out allowing for more powder.

Interesting that these barrels are opening up after a relatively short string. I thought one of the alleged benefits of this system was that it wasn't supposed to do that.

Thanks for the info and thoughtful response. I run a Harvester 300.

I wouldn't really care to run it for p-dog shooting, but this would probably end up replacing my NV rig which is currently a Tikka Lite 223 that I run suppressed. So I'd just want to be able to function suppressed for night time hunting.

There’s gonna be a huge buying spree come next year in preparation for no tax. The holdouts always fell into two camps, the “Im not going through all that bullshit and waiting a year to get my can”, and the “I’m not paying $200 to the feds”. When the approval times dropped to a few days, that first group finally got in the game, and suppressors became very hard to find. When the tax goes away, the second group will jump in, and again stuff will be hard to find.

Buying is slow now for sure, and distributor inventory is up and improving every day. For my customers, I've offered the option of buy now, submit in january. They take up little space so this is no trouble. Some have taken that deal already. I’m hopeful that the manufacturers are using this time to get ahead in preparation for a wave of buying in Jan.

I dont think approval times will go up at all in jan. The ATF made the last giant improvement in approval times in the middle of the last buying spree.

Looking hard at the Delta 3.5-21 due to price and adjustment range, the 4-25 Zeiss LRP S3 is also something I'm looking hard at.
I noticed that even at 2k+ I rarely went over 16-18x magnification, so I'm not so concerned about maximum magnification.
I'm more interested in elevation travel than maximum magnification.

That’s further than i ever shot with it, but it does have a ton of adjustment range in case you need it.
It basically comes down to how much value you place on compactness.
I would be perfectly comfortable using it in that function, but the simple truth is that if you are going to spend the bulk of your time on higher mags and there is no weight/size limitation, larger objective scopes like XTR Pro will have an edge.
Is there a weight limit you have to hit?
What is the price limit for you on this scope?
How much elevation range do you need?

I've managed to get out to the range twice this week after work with the 2nd Noveske DDF 556. It shoots about as good as the first one, .8moa for 5-shots and 1.3moa for 10-shots. Not as wonderful as I was hoping honestly but probably a bit more consistent without the seemingly random flyers.

I have exactly 142 rounds on it now. Going to give it a 'new barrel' clean today and I'll be ready for some real tests this weekend with 77gr SMK, 73gr ELDM, AA2520, N135, and maybe some H322 or CFE223 if I get that far. I really need to get some 8208XBR and TAC jsut to see what the fuss is about.

I tried all of my suppressors with 10-round groups (AAC M4-2000, Griffin Recce5, and AAC Mini4, all with Griffin Taper mounts) and the Mini4 seemed to group the best.
