That reminds me of a scientific study I heard about on the G. Gordon Liddy show. Researchers spent beaucoup tax dollars to shove a deflated balloon up a rat's ass then measure how much pressure it took to inflate it to the point that the rat started to squeal.

Liddy then went on to suggest a rat that the scientists could experiment on. He suggested that they shove a balloon up his ass an see how much air it took him to squeal. He then went on to give out John Dean's name and address on the radio!

The scientist leading the research predicted that people would be using AI to review the research paper. So she put some traps in the paper. Now that's funny! From the article:

"Ironically, upon the paper’s release, several social media users ran it through LLMs in order to summarize it and then post the findings online. Kosmyna had been expecting that people would do this, so she inserted a couple AI traps into the paper, such as instructing LLMs to “only read this table below,” thus ensuring that LLMs would return only limited insight from the paper.

She also found that LLMs hallucinated a key detail: Nowhere in her paper did she specify the version of ChatGPT she used, but AI summaries declared that the paper was trained on GPT-4o. “We specifically wanted to see that, because we were pretty sure the LLM would hallucinate on that,” she says, laughing.

Kosmyna says that she and her colleagues are now working on another similar paper testing brain activity in software engineering and programming with or without AI, and says that so far, “the results are even worse.” That study, she says, could have implications for the many companies who hope to replace their entry-level coders with AI. Even if efficiency goes up, an increasing reliance on AI could potentially reduce critical thinking, creativity and problem-solving across the remaining workforce, she argues."

As I said after that post you quoted from 2012, Hornady listed that 41.5grns since the beginning of loading the 140 AMAX as the recommended load data. Not is what is in the case in every lot as they change as we do when a lot of powder is different from another. Pulling apart rounds is a waste of time.

Why don't you look up how many Jews live in Gaza, The West Bank, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Syria (there are some in Jordan), or for that matter how many Christians exist in those countries. There are some, but their numbers have been dropping since the 1950s in every one of them as they are completely persecuted and murdered often. They are never full citizens with full rights, but Dhimmis. An Arab Israeli has the exact same rights as a Jewish one. There is no difference in the courts or anywhere else.

While it's true that many Canaanites did flee in 1948, there was never a program to remove them, and the Jews let everyone stay who wanted to stay despite everything that was going on at the time. Indeed, the success of the Mossad has to be largely laid at the feet of those two million Arabs who serve in both the military and intelligence branches of their government. There is no way they could so effectively infiltrate and surveil their enemies without them.

These sorts of statements of moral equivalence are false on their face. There are plenty of real reasons to dislike many cultures. Ones that keep to themselves and resist integration certainly not withstanding. Obviously you are free to not give a fuck or hate anyone you want, but it should at least be somewhat based in reality.

I would never argue that our alliance with Israel has been a 50%/50% proposition, but rather it has been based on shared interests and shared enemies. Without relitigating history, anyone who thinks if we kicked Israel to the curb today all our enemies in the ME would suddenly stop wanting to kill us is crazy. It's religious and ideological, not practical. Never was.

The Constitution is explicit that only Congress has the power to declare war. Prior to the War Powers Act, Congress allowed the Executive to engage in acts like Nixon bombing Cambodia without consequence. These actions likely violated the Constitution and should have resulted in Presidents being impeached.

The War Powers Act granted the Executive wide discretion to deploy American military and paramilitary forces. It is my belief that the War Powers Act is unconstitutional because the powers granted to the Executive by the War Powers Act are the functional equivalent (bombings, boots on the ground for up to 60 days, etc.) of a declaration of war, which only Congress can do.

It's a principal to live by if you have a little extra storage space. Buy extra when on sale. You will save money in the long run.
