Retesting some reloads today. Very odd results!

Well. Some good news to report today. I did the following. Cleaned the crap out of the rifle which only has 30 rounds down the pipe since that last cleaning and range day. Garmin also did an update that I installed for this session and the rounds I loaded and shot were with the Wilson modified seating stem that I got back this week. First rounds today were a SD2/ES3 and throughout the day at the range I got sd's of 4 and 5 and es below 10. Go figure. Nothing in my reloading process changed from the day I was getting 20 sd's. It was a good day at the range for sure.

Plane crash At Reagan National

Remember what Trump told the press the very next day after the accident when he was asked about the possible cause? And they lost their minds?

So.......

In some states once your 65 or older (there are some limitations) you pay no property taxes. Thankfully Alabama is one of them. Most states do not advertise it, nor will they refund years past you paid in but, once you know & sign up all you have to do is sign on the dotted line once a year.

Florida allows an additional 50k homestead exemption at age 65…provided your annual income doesn’t exceed 20k.

Rifle Scopes Burris XTR 3 Vs Athlon Cronus

Spending $800 on a Chinese scope is a hard pass for me. With the rumors about Athlon holding the chronos that dealers and customers have paid for so they don’t have to eat the higher tariffs I’m probably done buying anything Athlon moving forward.
Hadn't heard that. Are you sure they just didn't run out of stock and were waiting until the next shipment?? I've seen this more than a few times over the years with their scopes, some of which are sold out quickly, maybe even before the shipment arrives.

Maggie’s Funny & awesome pics, vids and memes thread (work safe, no nudity)

I've done it a couple times. Ranks as my least fun couple of experiences ever. One was in a wheelchair and wearing those knee high compression socks. He could have been hiding whatever he wanted in those socks. I wasn't about to make him take them off or touch them.

It's kinda like the video where the dude picks a fight and as soon as he has a victim, he strips and victim walks away, nobody wants to fight a naked guy

Plane crash At Reagan National

^^^ It would be funny... except that this commissioned officer. A captain. was so incompetent that she as much as murdered dozens of American citizens, including children, because she and her whole chain of command up to and including Lloyd Austin were utterly incompetent and MADE THIS HAPPEN.

She was on the fast track to be a poster child for DEI.

And %$# the New York Times for burying the story. Like they buried the story about Biden being a brain-dead retard from the moment he launched his campaign in 2018... to the present. They are culpable in this, too. But will bury the whole thing because they have a narrative and would rather kill American women and children than... support competence.

Fuck them all. Hope it was painful for that bitch.

Waterline your Plates

I like a waterline on my distance plates, particularly when dialing in my elevation. The important factor is knowing your aiming point and being able to relate that to your results.

When you are out by yourself or great shooting buddy, you might use anything at all to establish that, even quartering your target. When working with others and spotting for them, having an aim point or line or other specific reference helps tremendously in communication.

Optics RELISTED Swarovski ATX/STX 65mm objective $699

RELISTED here for $699 (FIRM!) because some douchenozzle on ebay won my 10-day auction then cancelled the order. So I'm giving it a try here again before I go back to ebay

Got this from Midway just 2 weeks ago. Used on one hunting trip last week. Perfect condition. Photos forthcoming, it's still in my hunting buddy's backpack. (I decided I want to get a dedicated straight scope for hunting.) This is for the OBJECTIVE only.

Rifle Scopes Burris XTR 3 Vs Athlon Cronus

You should try that new Ares BTR G3 2.5-15x50 because it's such a killer scope for the price. Compared to the HG2 4-20 it's more refined in just about every way, almost daylight bright illume, and it has better IQ. Also the turrets are even nicer than the ETR's are and maybe better than the CG2 in that they are lower profile and wider.

The Gay Tiger is tempting me from shooting straight with 6BR.

6x47L was fine before but 6mmBR has been an easy cartridge to deal with as far as low ES and benchrest precision, and if I need more I go up to 6.5 Saum.

The Lapua brass for 6mmBR, the .059 flash hole, short powder column, and long brass life, no case prep, low recoil and .3" groups makes for a fantastic little cartridge.

One time with my 6mmBR at 1000Y I had 1.75" vertical for 9 of the 10 shots on a steel plate, something my four 6x47L barrels and tuned loads would not do. That kinda won me over.
