Yeah, I don’t know if I believe her story or not but it all seems odd. Well. Some good news to report today. I did the following. Cleaned the crap out of the rifle which only has 30 rounds down the pipe since that last cleaning and range day. Garmin also did an update that I installed for this session and the rounds I loaded and shot were with the Wilson modified seating stem that I got back this week. First rounds today were a SD2/ES3 and throughout the day at the range I got sd's of 4 and 5 and es below 10. Go figure. Nothing in my reloading process changed from the day I was getting 20 sd's. It was a good day at the range for sure.

If you don't need the trainer aspect of a bolt gun, and can afford it, I suggest looking into the Anschutz 1727F in the new Anschutz chassis system.

If I were into NRL22 or PRS22 that's what I'd get and these are super reliable as well.

Hadn't heard that. Are you sure they just didn't run out of stock and were waiting until the next shipment?? I've seen this more than a few times over the years with their scopes, some of which are sold out quickly, maybe even before the shipment arrives.

I like a waterline on my distance plates, particularly when dialing in my elevation. The important factor is knowing your aiming point and being able to relate that to your results.

When you are out by yourself or great shooting buddy, you might use anything at all to establish that, even quartering your target. When working with others and spotting for them, having an aim point or line or other specific reference helps tremendously in communication.

This is why you (and yer mom) just can’t quit me.

6x47L was fine before but 6mmBR has been an easy cartridge to deal with as far as low ES and benchrest precision, and if I need more I go up to 6.5 Saum.

The Lapua brass for 6mmBR, the .059 flash hole, short powder column, and long brass life, no case prep, low recoil and .3" groups makes for a fantastic little cartridge.

One time with my 6mmBR at 1000Y I had 1.75" vertical for 9 of the 10 shots on a steel plate, something my four 6x47L barrels and tuned loads would not do. That kinda won me over.
