100 cycles of 50 lives and 50 dries. (Approx.)
So far I can’t get it to stick. Which is a good sign. Don’t feel like the same gun. Shit is glass like and slick AF.

Will have ~500 rounds thru it noon tomorrow.

Suppressors Suppressor help

I’m confident YHM will take good care of you. I’ve had a few customers that had baffle/end cap strikes that were happy with how YHM handled the issue.
I suspect the problem you experienced was do to the threads on your QD mount having a buildup of junk on them. When you screwed your can onto the mount the junk on the mount prevented the can from tightening down properly. It will also make it harder to unscrew the can from the mount. I would suggest spraying some Rem Oil, or something similar, on the threads and cleaning the mount. It wouldn’t hurt to do the same on the treads inside the can.

Yeah it could. Is the end cap removable on that can? Hopefully they can help as I am sure you aren’t the first.

And if you want to run the brake for matches then just run it with the brake and then take the brake off and screw on a can with DT. I have went the opposite and starting to use more cans on my match rifles than brakes.

If you plan to buy more cans then get a flow through style for the AR. Will make using it much nicer. Then keep the YHM for the bolt gun.

Maggie’s The Wood Shop

Does anyone have a recommendation for a finish for white oak that is weather safe? Easy to apply with only yearly maintenance would be preferred. It will be in shade but exposed to rain for 6 months per year.

Tung oil seems like the best option.

Thank you in advance.
I'm going to give you a completely different suggestion. "Cetol Marine".

It can be used for other woods, such as mahogany and oak, not just teak. (as per second page, top right)

Now, I DO use this stuff, and have had for some years now, on our boat. Granted, it is all teak on the boat, but each year when winterizing we remove more pieces, and then through the winter we refinish them (40+ y/o boat) and each year our boat looks newer and newer. Some here may remember some pictures.

Point being, our wood sits outdoors year round (Canuckistanian Winters....) and all of the wood we've re-done is still wonderful. Pricey stuff, but the ONLY thing to use on teak, and 'on-the-water'.

I'm guessing you're doing whiskey barrels, and outdoor planters type thing. Then yeah, I'd suggest this stuff in a millisecond.
