Airguns Beating Rimfires

What is this particular rifle, please?
It's my 4 year old Thomas HPX custom and set up for 65-ish fpe.
This is when it's in it's benchrest configuration.

This in it's normally used configuration, aka

bipod and rear bag, but I don't shoot it prone much anymore.

A 87Y group and that 100Y group with it.

One time I hit our 100Y 1" spinner 9 times in a row before I missed but I'd fallen off the reg or I might of done more.

Maggie’s Funny & awesome pics, vids and memes thread (work safe, no nudity)

2 years ago I bought my SIL a restored 1969 Cub Cadet 106 lawn tractor. He likes vintage stuff and needed a mower.

I ask him occasionally if it is doing ok, he says it is. He recently asked me to help him put a new PTO belt on it because it was ragged and “wasn’t cutting well”.

He brought it to my shop this morning and we got the belt replaced. This isn’t super hard but it’s a horizontal shaft setup with pulleys that change the direction to go back to the mower deck.

Got that done, blew out the air filter (and ordered a replacement), added a little oil and checked tire pressure. Finally I said “lets check the blades to see if they need sharpening….”

This is when I discovered it was no wonder it wasn’t “cutting well”. One of the three blades, the left outer, was missing. Gone. Not there 😂

The boy is an excellent dad, a decorated firefighter and I love him but he ain’t a mechanic 😘

At least the bull dyke didn’t murder him like they did shaver

OK, I'll start with the low-hanging fruit, past the glaringly obvious part that she/it is definitely in the wrong line of work. A buzzcut, seemingly bull dyke officer is cracking on a male with painted toenails & calling him a punk.

Geissele Cut Rifled SPR Build and Barrel Evaluation. (Part 4 (Load Development 28MAY25) Update!!!

That isn't really how dies work. The only thing you can adjust when "setting up your dies" is shoulder bump or rough equivalency to headspace. Chambers that were cut with the same reamer will have differing shoulder bump requirements most of the time. The only correct way to answer your question is using this 👇, on brass fired in the specific chamber of the Geisselle barrel you buy and then comparing it to what your die produces after sizing. No one makes 223 CLE dies or 223 Wylde dies. The biggest difference is the freebore and has nothing to do with dies or die adjustment.

How much bump do you guys use when hand loading for an AR? I've always used -.004" for gas guns, I've never experimented with less
