Trump is back…the “Now What” thread

You know I blame a lot of this corporate crap on 401k's.

No loyalty no reason to not just blow it out for short term gain and move on.

Like a bunch of locusts eating it to the ground and moving on instead of trying to build something.

Wait till the dems get back in power and steal the 401k's.
Been done in Europe allready.

6gt

Does N160 carbon foul heavily like N150? N150 shoots great in my 6br but F me is cleaning a chore, reminds me of rl16.
All the VV powders are a bit dirty, some more than others. N160 is dirty but not terrible. We clean every few hundred rounds too, 150 to 300. The GT seems to be susceptible to carbon rings and we do not want to deal with that so we clean more frequently.

"Over Gassed" AR's Fact or Fiction? Other Perspectives

To some that might be self apparent, but certainly not to others. That quote was preceded by the statement that an adjustable gas block can only be of use to an over ported rifle. If your rifle is not over ported, an adjustable gas block is useless. I cannot tell you how many customers wanted adjustable gas blocks put on their rifles/uppers but when I explained I would need to over port their rifle/upper in order for that to be of any use, not only were they not aware that was the case, but no one wanted me to over port their rifle/upper.

I wonder why that AGB would be of use on a rifle that’s over ported… 😂😂😂

You do realize that you can put a AGB on a barrel and just leave it open if the gas system is properly spec’d right? And you still have the option to close it off some if you put a can on it that’s not a flow through.

You seem like someone who thinks you know more than you actually do. It’s clear that you can realize something’s but still totally lack the ability to truly understand it.

The fact that you’ve played adult legos and *assembled* hundreds of AR’s really doesn’t mean a thing.

Just out of curiosity, what roll marks are on most of the receivers your seeing as well as who’s parts kits, barrels, BCG’s, etc.

Precision Rifle Gear Bipods?

I remember just a few years ago everyone was all about having the apex of the bipod above the barrel for best stability, etc. Supposedly that was the best way for precision. Now everyone is all about the ckye pods which are the opposite.

I use an atlas and it works good for me.
Apex above is more stable, it just leads to a much bigger, bulkier bipod, and most aren't ARCA mount which is what most people use (for competition at least).

The Ckyepod (and similar designs) offers a bunch of versatile not found I'm other bipods, and the double and triple pulls are unmatched in versatility.

The Altas Cal is the most popular Atlas bipod for competition use and has the legs mounted a lot wider than the OG one, so effectively gives a higher apex, so people are still looking for that stability.

I can hear it now, “Ok, now crank it. NO!! Fuck, I said just bump it, fer chrisakes, you idiot! Now I got my sleeve in the pulley, and the screwdriver in the timing hole. Stupidmuth……….mumble mumble…”

Actually I wouldn’t even let you near an AR, but that’s just me.

What level of Binos do you need for PRS 22.

That is what most think.. I have seen post hits called many times..you feel like a dick when you have to correct the other spotter (usually Binos).. they saw the plate move, they heard the "hit"... I have also seen times where the wind Is blowing the targets, and you cant hear the hit, in this situation (I was the shooter) I was actually hitting the targets, but I couldnt hear calls due to wind..I actually just stopped shooting..Hoping the wind would die, they were big round targets at 200 yards.. To give you and Idea, I was holding 4 mills at 200.. I do not think anyone was being unfair or intentional just the sport we love sometimes.

My main point of this wasn't the above.. it was about is the jump from good glass $1000 to $1500 to the $2600 to $3200 range really worth it? For PRS.. meaning for environmental' s as far as reading wind and such.

I should have communicated that better in my original post..
Athlon Midas is still enough glass that you can accurately call a hit on post vs target.

I've used a variety of different binos for spotting 22 PRS and never felt the glass was the determining factor. More magnification helps at distance but if you need to do a lot of panning (targets in different stages on a stage) then 12x thems a good middle ground.

Maybe it depends what type of target is used at distance but even then I don't think $2000 binos is going to be the difference, a bad spotter is a bad spotter regardless of the glass used.

Precision Rifle Gear Bipods?

working on it, just got my prototype back from a buddy who was testing it after the last NRL hunter match I shot
I'm all over this. However, I've personally experienced and witnessed with other brands of carbon legged bipods (going back approximately 10 years) where the legs break in someway or another under a lot of competition/hard use work. In fact, there is a Tricer bipod thread going on right now and it is also has carbon legs....someone already posted a video of a carbon leg failure (not even from hard use).

I know it's got to be challenging making carbon legs on a bipod durable enough for hard use. Just curious how your design addresses that challenge.
