14.9 5000 meters supersonic

Finally, we are making some headway. We told you that it would be back and that is now becoming a reality. We are still quite a ways from pulling a trigger, but now we can move in that direction.

What you see here is a 20mm capable receiver next to a BAT EXS and a 1" micrometer for visual scale. It is a tank of an action to say the least.

For any of you that would be serious about buying one, your time will come. But right now, this is the first one off the line and any further production will be exclusive, so please do not call BAT looking to buy one.

Slugging barrels......Don't F'in do things like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yikes!!! Would you mind posting a few pictures of damaged spots?
Don't have the barrel in hand and he didn't send any pic's of the bore if he took any.

Wish I could post the video of him pushing the rod down the bore!

I told him flat out... not going to warranty it.

300 yard consistency

@Jwoo
I’m assuming you’ve tried Tenex as well?
For some reason, my setup does not like Center X, but great with multiple lots of Tenex.
Yeah I would definitely try some Tenex, not sure if they have a long range round yet, but they can be as good or better. Also look for RWS R50. Sorry but CCI normally does not normally show up in any of the match equipment lists from winning shooters.

300 yard consistency

Despite what we'd like to believe low ES and SD are not the end all, great starting point but it's all about results down range. I have 2 cases of Tac22 practice ammo that regularly give me single digit SD's and great 50yd groups...at 200yds you can quickly see why it's $3 a box !
Yeah at distance it is about bullet shape ( wind) and consistency. Yes velocity plays a part, but just a part.

Firearms Tactical Operations Delta 66 300 Win Mag

I have a Delta 66 300 Win Mag built on a Surgeon 1086 with a Magazine. It is 22 inch barrel threaded 9/16 by 24 Class IIIA for one of my cans. It has a S&B 3X27 PMII with a Badger EFR with all rails included and the test target I believe is .058.

Please PM me of call 310-275-8797 if you are serious...

Thank you

Shot timer training

Just to reinforce what's already been posted the Morgan King/One Shot/11/12/13 Second Drill is great way to practice. Sometimes I do two shots to get a bolt manipulation in as well. The timer shouldn't make you rushed but should make you smoother. You will quickly realize that you can prep better reduce your fiddling and have more time to focus on fundamentals.
This is exactly what I had in mind. Any other drills you guys recommend are welcomed.
