Geissele Cut Rifled SPR Build and Barrel Evaluation. (Part 4 (Load Development 28MAY25) Update!!!

24.2-24.4 gr TAC pushing a 77 smk has been money in all my rifles. They all share 24.4, LC brass, cci #41 with 77 SMK’s and all shoot that load extremely well in 40-95* weather.

Those speeds though are crazy! My 20” barrels only run 2750

Customer Accuracy Expectations

I mostly shoot local matches, I am not a high-level competitor. But with a good load and a custom rifle, I expect to be able to shoot 1/2MOA 90% of the time at 100 and maybe 80% of the time at 200 with mild to moderate wind. I don’t shoot center fire at 50 yards, that’s only for rimfire.

Ooops. Just realized this was in the rimfire section. For rimfire, I would say 1/2-3/4 MOA at 50, sub MOA at 100 and maybe 1.5 MOA at 200 with very mild wind.

If you are gonna go in for the full 5 days course of IVM, lay in a supply of treats like alfalfa cubes, and sweet feed nuggets....maybe some apples for a spexoal treat...
..🤣

Seriously. Just squirt your dose in 8 ounces of water and drink it, easy peasy. Don't put it in juice o4 pepai or nothing. Lots of watwr helps it work. Stay hyddrated
Exactly the way I do it also

Australia bans machetes

Anyone who has studied/practiced edged weapons techniques, can attest to the effectiveness of an inch long scalpel held at the finger tip. If you can touch a person, they are cut. If you know a little about anatomy, a few millimeters cut depth is all it takes to kill. A one inch blade, or a three foot blade, really doesn't matter.
True but a three foot blade reduces the margin for error by 35 inches.

Rifle Scopes Leupold Mark 4HD non-illuminated vs illuminated TMR reticle

Hey all:

I've been giving the Leupold scopes a hard look. On paper, this one seems to be exactly what I'm looking for:

https://www.leupold.com/mark-4hd-2-5-10x42-m5c3-ffp-tmr-riflescope

My intent is to use it for daytime target shooting from 250-1000 yards. After studying the reticle subtensions, the non-illuminated TMR has a much thinner aiming point that the illuminated version of the same reticle (it's twice as thick).

I'm curious to hear what people's experiences are with the non-illuminated TMR. It is thin enough to hit 1000 yards on larger steel targets (like 12 inches+)?

Thanks!
I run the illuminated TMR (the thick one with the center dot) on all of my precision rifles and have had no problems hitting the targets you describe.

My spotting scope has the non-illuminated TMR (the thin one with the open center), and while I do not prefer its thinness, I assess that it would also be sufficient for hitting the targets you describe.
