Accessories New Website - Feedback Requested

We have a new website! We have been a Hide Supporter for over 5 years now. We had a website professional designed and built, and now we want feedback! What do you like? What don't you like?

Your PVA prefit experience

Only Osprey barrels anymore? I'm looking for a Rock Creek, etc, .223 1:8. Not seeing anything like that anymore. I LOVE my current .223 PVA, but I think it will be shot out relatively soon.

So order another! lol Why look for a Rock Creek or other? I wasn’t hesitant getting my first Osprey as I had known Josh for a long time and trusted him but after shooting them I trust him more. lol Seriously though they are very accurate, as you know, and clean up quick. Cant ask for more in a barrel.

So, after dealing with breeders, scammers, etc, we had firmly decided NOT to get a dog Wednesday before last. The wife texts me the next day and says this guy needs a home. Fine, we will meet him and see. A half hour later we were at Tractor supply buying all the dog things. Meet Wilson, the Havanese. He’s a rescue, about 6-8 months old. We are alternating taking him to work (he hates to be left) at our store with the wife, and with me at the office and in the field. He’s a pretty good boy, MOST of the time. He loves everybody, but will judge the shit out of you and side eye you all day long.

He was DONE after working with me while I ran power and fiber yesterday.

He apparently likes a good Godfather also (mostly ice at that point)

Neck Lubing Process with Dry Neck Lube?

There seems to be a handful of variables that would need to be absolutely controlled to draw any meaningful conclusion on which process works best. Neck wall thickness, annealing consistency, die and mandrel dimensions, lot to lot variation, etc. Short of having an arbor press and seating pressure indication, I am using a very simple Forster stepped neck ID gauge and getting a feel for net neck tension, and don’t get overly concerned about removing or rebooting remaining Redding dry neck lube on/off cases. SD’s in single digits in a handful of 6.5 GR/CM semiautos.

Optics Advice for AR-15

I'm building my first AR-15 (JP, 18") and could use some recommendations for optics. I'll be shooting mostly bench and prone 25, 100, and 300yds. Budget is max $1200 (unless you make a strong case).

From what I've found I'm likely looking at a 1-6 or 1-8 LPVO, or something like a 2-10 with a possible offset RD. I'd really appreciate any thoughts on what makes the most sense for this!
For 300 and in, I'd be looking at a second focal plane 1-6. For your stated budget, including a good mount, I'd go with a Trijicon Credo 1-6, second focal plane. Not the HX. The one with the etched reticle with BDC for 5.56. Put it into a Leupold Mark AR mount. This is a very nice rig.

My primary LPVO is an NX8, but I take that rig out beyond 600 pretty often. Cut that distance in half and the NX8 is wholly unnecessary.

Honestly, if this is going to be a bench and prone gun, you can get a lot more for your money by going with a 2-10 or 2-12x. My 16" 800 yard rig has a Leupold Mark 4HD on top of it. You can get the non illuminated model for about $1k. In terms of actually sending rounds down range, the Mark 4 runs rings around the NX8. Don't get a scope with a 1x, unless you need that 1x and the form factor typical of an LPVO.

Of course, you could always go with a Vortex venom 1-6x AND an Athlon Helos 2-12 and have both and still be within your budget.

[QUOTE="The D, post: 12219955, Heated seats are the greatest automotive innovation ever

Heated seats in the last six (?) Vehicles I’ve owned. Other than accidentally, I’ve never turned them own. Maybe if I lived above the Mason-Dixon. My pick for greatest is A/C.
