46.5 Billion For Border Wall In BBB

The southern border is 1,954 miles long. If you convert that to having one person stationed every 500 yards you will need almost 6,900 people on the line at all times.

Then you have at least 3 shifts per day, plus extra for vacation and sick leave. I would safely say it would be at least 25 to 30 thousand people, plus food, housing, guns, and ammo, plus all of the other expenses like fuel, vehicles...
long border. that is why one has sensors, radar, over watch, roving patrols. compare to the cost of keeping 100s of bases staffed in 30 (?) other countries that we have no biz being in? we have an army. DEFENDING America is its job not garrisoning 1/2 the planet in places we have no biz and should have no interest.
and correct that you could easily get many 1000s of volunteers for a border watch "summer camp". some experience in a free fire zone would discourage a lot of traffic.

Needing to use charging handle to chamber round - small frame ar

If the bolt catch is catching on the carrier rather than the bolt it is PROBABLY because the bolt is going back far enough to cycle the rifle, but not far back enough for the catch to hook on the bolt. My guess would be too much spring.

How much buffer mass are you running with that bolt carrier group? Although my first guess would be too much spring, it could be too much buffer weight as well or rather than. Assuming that your rig is properly gassed to run a lightweight bolt carrier group, I'd probably try reducing buffer mass to get a full stroke during the action cycling. Too light on the spring and youre gonna have feeding issues.

One of the geriatric rodents accused me of pedo for posting this chuck.

She was 27 at the time
Where were the ladies who looked like this when I was in my 20’s?

Not complaining about the one who caught me, but I don’t remember my contemporaries looking that good back then.

Sturm Ruger has bought Anderson Manufacturing

One shitty gun company bought another shitty brand.

Like what is the point. Poverty pony has zero value as a brand. Better off selling Ruger branded lowers not that they would since Ruger is gay ass fudd shit.
guess I need to go throw my #1, #3, 77/22's and 10/22's in the trash!! never knew...

a weird thought

maybe we have tricked Putin into attacking Ukraine and serving as our Gurkhas there? we beef up Ukraine to make it costly for him. weakens Russia but he is always going to prevail. then,as he is most likely to stop somewhere around the river, the rest of the country is open to exploit. will be wide open for Black Rock to plunder as per the plan. Z and crew don't matter. they can be kept as window dressing or easily disposed of.
Israel and Iran? same deal. Israel wants to control the whole ME. no way,too small a population. but we help them knock out and regime change Iran. then Black Rock moves in to exploit it,rebuild it and Gaza, buy off the Turks with Syria, make big $,gain more powerless serfs. other small Arab countries can do shit about it. start some revolutionary shit in Egypt to keep it busy.
yea,i know weird thoughts.

DeLane Development Group Rimfire Ventures

Ok, after yesterday's post showing the DDG M5x DBM System, I've received tons of questions about my Pre-Load Piston (PLP). So, I figured I'd give a y'all a better look at what it is, what it does, and how one makes it a part of his/her shooting platform.
As one can see, when the magazine is inserted, it forces the PLP upward by acting on a surface on the tab of the PLP. The PLP is under pressure from an internal spring and this pressure acts upon the top surface of the magazine.

This pressure forces the magazine downward, trapping it between the tab on the PLP and the magazine release. At this point, the magazine is not free to bounce up and down and it has resistance to moving about the lateral axis (the magazine can't tilt forward and down).

So, how does one make the M5x fit his/her stock? As one can see from the attached photo of the inletting in a McMillan stock, I've colored the area in red that needs to be removed. Thanks to four cups of coffee, I colored the area a little larger than it actually needs to be, but one can easily get an idea of how simple it is to fit the M5x in his/her stock.

The DDG M5 DBM drops right in without any revisions.

Because the PLP needs a bit of headroom to move upward when the magazine is inserted, a small revision is made to the receiver by pushing the forward wall of the trigger pocket forward. I've attached a 3D assembly below that I posted recently, and one can see the small area in question. I don't recommend this revision be performed with a hand mill (Dremel), but instead, a manual mill like a Bridgeport or in a CNC. It's actually quite a simple operation.

There's one additional feature that's part of the full-on system (Magazine, M5 and M5x DBMs, New Rimfire Bolt Action) that I'm not showing yet that will make all this make more sense when one sees it. But the goals are to continue with envisioning and creating the exceptional to continue to push the boundaries of increasing accuracy and overall performance of the Rimfire Shooting System.

Hope this helps and feel free to keep the questions coming.

Your PVA prefit experience

So order another! lol Why look for a Rock Creek or other? I wasn’t hesitant getting my first Osprey as I had known Josh for a long time and trusted him but after shooting them I trust him more. lol Seriously though they are very accurate, as you know, and clean up quick. Cant ask for more in a barrel.
I don't have an Osprey. I've been really happy with the Rock Creek prefits that I've purchased over the years. If I timed the sale, I was in for around $500, which seemed fair for a prefit, especially given all the options that they have programed in over at PVA.

I don't need an Osprey. I'm not shooting PRS, I'm not shooting benchrest, I'm shooting steel and anything around 1 MOA is going to work great for me. This isn't a knock, but at that price I can swing for the moon and get a Brux, Bartlein, etc. What kept me coming back to PVA was a great barrel at a great price, with way more options for customization than anyone else doing prefits offered. Anyway, useful to know that the lower (cheaper) tier of barrel isn't coming back.
