Precision Rifle Gear New Athlon Rangecraft Chronograph-Garmin Xero Killer?

I think you have officially gone too far.

Eh, folks wanna know stuff, and I like experimenting when I have time and ability. I kinda accidentally ended up with a bunch of chronos, 8 units of 7 different make/model, folks asked questions, so I designed some experiments for comparison - then the preliminary testing revealed additional testing to be done, especially with multiple units of the same brand, and someone had a VelociRadar I could borrow, so I actually have 11 chronos of 8 different models right now to do a lot of comparison.

But yeah, it's a rather large pain in the ass that I can't run all 8 radar units concurrently due to the near/co-channel interferences. So I have to pick and choose which can be concurrently operated and then design the tests around minimizing the round count (running 100 round strings across 11 units, even in pairs, is a LOT of rounds). But I'm trying to answer questions which different folks have had about them.

Rifle Scopes Back story on Mil use of Schmidt and Bender 4-16X42 PMII

I have and use a S&B 4-16x42mm with the GENIIXR, one of the best scopes S&B ever made. The 42mm allows the user to get the scope closer to the barrel and the 42mm works great with NV units like the PVS27.

Mike @ CSTACTICAL
I know this is an old thread; but thought your comment was interesting. You stated a pro…getting the scope closer to barrel. But then mentioned with PVS-27. But to optimally run the PVS-27; the optic should be at 1.5”. Which kinda negates the first pro. Unless I’m missing something.

No worries, I have a SB 4-16, that was on an M1A safe queen, that I just sold. So was contemplating selling to fund a ZCO 4-20, so I did a search and saw this post.

KRG Bravo Finger Bite

Maybe an Ergo ar15 gapper plug may work,

Have been shooting my 1st gen Bravo ,but almost always wear Flight nomex gloves, cut down
Ever since my USMC days,,also they aren't padded like bicycle gloves

I do use a lower grip on my Bravo so never got that bite on my finger
Try rubber cement or silicone .

Or try KRG X-ray rear stock,,

Maggie’s Funny & awesome pics, vids and memes thread (work safe, no nudity)

Those were 5” destroyer rounds. When things were starting to get really messy on Omaha Beach, a couple of destroyer captains completely disobeyed orders and risked tearing the bottoms out of their ships in order to get in close and get their guns on target. Some of them were just 2 to 300 yards from the beach and couldn’t miss. It helped tip the balance.

If I remember right one cruiser captain actually flooded one whole side of his ship, allowing his guns to depress enough to hit the beaches.

That said if someone wants to say it’s a 45, who am I to argue.
That was the Battle Ship Texas that flooded her off side ballasts in order to get more elevation on her guns and stay in the fight.

Precision Rifle Gear New Athlon Rangecraft Chronograph-Garmin Xero Killer?

After many failed attempts over multiple days and system resets, one of my Athlons will connect, but simply will NOT sync sessions to my phone. That's been kind of frustrating for me - especially when I'm trying to compile data from several chronographs at the same time and have to do manual data entry for the simple fact that one unit will not sync. I've also experienced co-channel interference with all 3 of the Athlons I have used - I'm not sure if they're accepting NEAR-channel interference instead of co-channel, but it's strange that I've had such bad luck in getting 3 out of 3 to interfere, whereas I've not had that experience with Garmins or LabRadar LX's as pervasively as I do with the Athlons (you can see the 1400fps reading on the bottom left Garmin - that ONLY happens when I have co-channel interference). It CAN happen to any of them - the V1 and the VelociRadar pictured here interfere both directions with the 2 Athlons pictured (interfering 1 each), but acoustic triggers (which the V1 and VR are using) hide the interference better than radar triggered units (which the Athlons use). Eliminating the co-channel units, the Athlons operate perfectly fine and offer more consistent readings with the rest of the units.
