It's funny that you mention it. I have and use a Athlon Helos 2-12 on a 6.5 Hunting rifle because I wanted adjustable parallax and a illuminated largish reticle for use on game, when lighting is dim.Was in the market for the same scope (Athlon Helos 2-12) and just ordered one from WalMart! Was in a bind with the back orders as well, but who knew WalMart would have em. Appreciate the help!
I did own a Credo 2-10 years back and posted a pretty lengthy review on here if you’d like to check it out. My only issue with that scope was wanting adjustable parallax. Always felt like my eye was fighting between a crisp reticle or crisp picture. I’ve since sold it but otherwise it’s a fantastic optic.
On the other hand I bought a Trijicon 2-10x36mm for my AR 18" barreled MK12ish Clone for both it's finer reticle (for daylight use) and lack of parallax adjustment.
My rational is that the AR is for quick deploy and shoot targets (In the best of traditional SHTF fantasies) when you don't want to waste time fiddling with side parallax on a potentially a dangerous moving target.
Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it....
