Maggie’s Funny & awesome pics, vids and memes thread (work safe, no nudity)

I heard a very long time ago...
It's a wound that never heals.
The more ya rub it, the better it feels.
Ain't enough soap, this side of hell, to ever remove that codfish smell.
Yet, we males spend our lives trying to get in it any way we can 🤣

Prayer Request Thread

Guys

Have some others on this and pls pray for a patient I had this last week and his family.
Cant share a name and guarantee you God knows.

Apparently there are links on FB snd Instagram if you want to share around.

This is from her hometown AM radio

Non comp 22

I've got 2 T1s. Mine is a 20" and my daughter's is the 16" model. My daughter runs a suppressor because to a 15 year old having a suppressor on her rifle makes her cooler than the boys that don't have one. Can't argue with her about that. With match ammo the velocity difference is only 8-12 fps between each rifle. We've added a Area419 and Salmon River arca rails to them and just recently added the T3 add on grip.

X - Vectronix Shooting Solutions

Probably a stupid question, but since the Vector X unit is providing the ballistic calculation can you use the Model 801 instead of the Model 901?
No, in the case of connecting these to a garmin or kestrel the vectors only send range, DOF and inclination. The 901 will actually do the calculation. The connecting device must also have AB for them to communicate.

Would you get into 6.5 Grendel in 2024?

Clean it, give it a hundred rounds or so to speed up, try another chrono.
I'm super happy with the grendel between 12.5 - 20"

If I could only have one it would be 14-18"....

I think a Grendel, a solid optic, a tripod and this

Could yield serious results.

Need help for my soon to be 9 year old 1st rifle

Need some help deciding for my youngest boys first rifle.

Average 9 yo. Looking for a gun he can grow with that isn’t a POS

Narrowed down to two but willing to hear out other suggestions.

Trying to keep it under $750

He will be using it for target shooting, small game hunting.

Choice 1

TacInc 10/22 left hand receiver & bolt, Kidd ULW barrel, Blackhawk axiom stock (have gift card to cover that), trigger group (got to shop around). This gun is super modular and can be upgraded as he grows. Stock should fit him and the entire gun should be light enough for him to shoot.

He likes semiauto - who doesn’t

Choice 2

CZ 457 scout + Acculite/whistlpig 16.5” fluted, threaded barrel, aftermarket boltknob. The barrel channel will need to be sanded out on the stock. Don’t know if the stock fits him though. Should be pretty light.

he can use a bolt action and it will make him choose his shots. Not quite as fun as a semiauto especially when jackrabbit hunting.

The cz would be the easiest and cheapest but is that really the best option?

Bought my oldest a RPRr and it has been accurate but picky on ammo sticking and it was heavy.

Could get a new Ruger carbon but I’m not sold on Rugers accuracy and their triggers have been crap imho.

The one I really remember was the one that went through North Raleigh in Nov or Dec ‘88. My first experience with a Tornado. The skies at dusk were like nothing I ever saw. Dark purple/black. Air was so thick you almost had to swim through it.

88 and 89 had two big tornados and Hugo. Hugo was my first hurricane and we had a hurricane party in Fayetteville. It was a bit south and west of us… but it hit hard enough that i decided hurricanes were to be taken seriously and hurricane parties were a bad idea!!!

My first two years in NC were bad weather time! IIRC there was also a blizzard in early ‘89 in Raleigh. Bunch of us had tickets to see comedian Stephen Wright and drove up anyway to see him.

After Hugo I went to South Carolina with a group to offer aid. It was truly a devastating storm there.

Xero C1 Pro - v3.30 update

Well, I’m not sure you can permanently save your data if you don’t use the app to pull it off the unit via Bluetooth. After 50(?) or so sessions the unit will warn you it’s overwriting the oldest session with new data. Maybe that doesn’t bug you.

I could be wrong…maybe you can somehow export from the unit directly to a laptop. My unit is not with me at the moment for me to check.
I don’t use those features, but thank you for your concern.
