SOLD PWS Alpha LT 14.5 upper

Recently purchased this, has maybe 50 rounds on it. It's a very good shooter with minimal recoil I just can't convince myself to like the 14.5" length. I prefer shorter barrels apparently, either way my loss is your gain. Mine currently has a KAC QDC flash hider, I have other mounts if you happen to need or want something else. Doesn't include all the rail scales or the optics, it's just the upper receiver.

hard to do. a normal citizen would have a problem knowing when he would be exposed by transfer, going to court etc. Ruby/Oswald hits have gotten harder to do. there have been a few but not as many as would end up a good thing. plus the cops protect them and would shoot a revenge seeker ASAP trying to get ahead of the revenge seeker's act.

Maggie’s Homeland Security blocking Harvard’s ability to enroll international students

Rueters
Summary

- Homeland secretary orders termination of Harvard student visa program

- Cites alleged antisemitism and coordination with Chinese Communist Party

- Harvard calls move unlawful, pledges support for foreign students

U.S. President Donald Trump's administration revoked Harvard University's ability to enroll international students on Thursday, and is forcing existing students to transfer to other schools or lose their legal status, the Department of Homeland Security said.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem ordered the department to terminate the Harvard University’s Student and Exchange Visitor Program certification, the department said in a statement. Noem accused the university of "fostering violence, antisemitism, and coordinating with the Chinese Communist Party."

Harvard said the Trump administration move - which affects thousands of students - was illegal and amounted to retaliation.

The clampdown on foreign students marks a significant escalation of the Trump administration’s campaign against the elite Ivy League university in Cambridge, Massachusetts, which has emerged as one of Trump's most prominent institutional targets. The move comes after Harvard refused to provide information that Noem had previously demanded about some foreign student visa holders who attend the university, the department said.

“It is a privilege, not a right, for universities to enroll foreign students and benefit from their higher tuition payments to help pad their multibillion-dollar endowments," Noem said in a statement.

Harvard rejected the allegations and pledged to support foreign students.

“The government’s action is unlawful," the university said in a statement. "This retaliatory action threatens serious harm to the Harvard community and our country, and undermines Harvard’s academic and research mission.”

The university said it was "fully committed" to educating foreign students and was working on producing guidance for affected students.

Harvard enrolled nearly 6,800 international students in the 2024-2025 school year, amounting to 27% of its total enrollment, according to university statistics.

Trump, a Republican, has undertaken an extraordinary effort to revamp private colleges and schools across the U.S. that he says foster anti-American, Marxist and "radical left" ideologies. He has criticized Harvard in particular for hiring prominent Democrats to teaching or leadership positions.

After our correspondent asked White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt about pedophile-ring operator Jeffrey Epstein’s potential ties to intelligence agencies and the state of Israel (see above), we followed the exchange up with an article listing some of the evidence behind that theory. Of note was this portion:

  • In 2007, Southern Florida Attorney Alex Acosta chose to not press charges against Epstein despite numerous young girls alleging abuse. Acosta reportedly did so because he was told that Epstein "belonged to intelligence" and that it was "above his paygrade" and to "leave it alone".
  • Epstein's lawyer who brokered the deal with Acosta was Alan Dershowitz who self-admittedly has been "working for the state of Israel" for decades and was key in negotiating the release of the Mossad agents rounded up after 9/11 caught photographing and celebrating the World Trade Center attacks... thus the lawyer has a history of brokering non-prosecution deals on behalf of Mossad.

Dershowitz is an Island Visitor himself and a POS that has enjoyed an ((outsized voice)) for decades. Bondi is a protector of the Zionist.

Is the sun saying, hold my beer & watch this?

Folks centuries and millennia ago hadn’t figured out how to con trillions of gold out of their serfs. They just pillaged it the old fashioned way.

Well, they did tithe… and get offerings from the peasants To Sun and volcano gods. And cut the hearts out of virgins to make the sun come back. And lots of other unga bunga to bamboozle the serfs out of their labor, kids and gold!

So while the climate change whiners are using new media and have a new angle on things… human nature has not changed “that” much. “Pay me and I’ll make the weather gooder” is ancient bamboozelry!!!

Hummmm… wonder if we can get Al Gore to throw Greta Thunberg into a volcano live on PPV. When she goes “blurp” like Gollum, the planet will cool! Send in your pledges now! We take all major credit cards, pay pal and Venmo!!

Horse Power, Track Shit, Torque, Cubic Inches, Liters, Run What Ya Brung, Auto or Cycle

To be fair, I've heard similar comments about "dangerous" regarding NCM and it being my home track my response is "wat?" Its not Putnam or Gingerman being wide open, and runoffs aren't as large as Mid-Ohio/Barber/Road Atlanta, but I would never call it "dangerous". I do think its probably a track that could bite, especially on a first visit going full send...but isn't that most tracks?

More than one person has told me Ozarks is an absolute blast, it is on my list to get to (right after VIR and Road America, probably before Watkins Glen).

We did G2 the new track here in Dallas back in March... Lots of people are saying how dangerous it is also. Im like "ok there are 2 sections where if you fuck up you are in the wall"...

I've seen wrecks in really odd places at a few tracks. I think there is potential at any track you go to to go into a wall. Just the risk we run. You wont ever design a 100% completely safe track where if you go off anywhere you wont hit anything... Most track the sketchiest place is pretty well known. IMO at Ozark thats basically just turn 1. There are a few other places where if you fuck up real bad your day will get bad, but turn 1 is pretty much the biggest one that eats cars at Ozark.

Ask the F1 guys about runoff at some of the Grand Prix courses built into 500 year old city centers LOL.

We do Ozark every May with Chin. If you want to go with us next year hit me up. We will likely rent the same house and it has plenty of beds. We have a great time. We did a really nice italian restaurant for dinner on Friday, smash burgers in the trailer on Saturday, fajitas and margarita bar at the house saturday night, sunday did cheese steaks at the trailer then went out to a big lake restaurant/bar on Sunday night. Its a fun time.

Quick Shot Challenge: What’s the dumbest shooting myth you’ve heard?

Some of the dumbest shooting myths I have heard.

@Lowlight likes Harris bipods.

Army Jerry never said “Buy more ammo”.

Theis is a Ukrainian arms dealer.

6.5 Credmoor is not gay.

This one is true because I heard him say it. FoulMike - “I’ll shoot a hole through him he couldn’t plug with a door knob”.
Looks like this was chosen as the winner!

Congrats.

Gunsmithing First custom barrel - what chemicals to clean it?

Wow...as said, there are as many ways to clean a barrel as there are shooters.

First, here is Bartlein's recommendation on barrel break-in:

For me, I'm a @Frank Green disciple. Last new Bartlein barrel I mounted the break-in was super simple. I think after 3-4 shots I really wasn't getting any copper so I shot a 5 round group, cleaned (and it looked great), and never looked back. The chamber was done by @AccuSol-ERN at Altus and the throat was immaculate. The end of the leade looked like it was drawn with a straight edge.

As for cleaning, again...after thinking 300-400 rounds was a good time to clean....I later subscribed to Frank's view of cleaning after a range session. Oh, maybe let it go 60 rounds or in a clinic it was more like 160-200. But I found frequent cleaning makes the cleaning so much easier and without needing a lot rigorous scrubbing.

I have settled on BoreTech. Mostly Eliminator but I will occasionally use their carbon remover followed by their copper remover.

I follow BoreTech's instructions on the bottles

I do have Patch Out...but I prefer BT stuff. However, the Patch Out is, IME, a bit superior for getting copper out.

I use their non-copper jags for patches and I almost exclusively use nylon brushes though I will occasionally use a bronze brush later in the barrel's life. Now, many won't like this....but I do scrub back and forth. I don't see a nylon brush doing anything to the crown and I do mount Area 419 universal adapters and the brush bristles are oriented properly when pulling back by this adapter.

I do have Rem 40X and JB (blue label) and also use those very occasionally and in particular with an older barrel that I'm trying to keep shooting. I do NOT wrap a patch around around a brush and, again following Frank, I do use a Parker Hale style jab with the patch/abrasive wrapped around it. Cap the muzzle so it doesn't exit and stroke it. Then clean it out thoroughly with solvent and patches.

Another thing I do that perhaps others may scoff at...but I run dry patches, one after the other, until they come our completely dry and clean. Maybe 10 patches. I do not understand how people can run 3 patches to dry the bore and call it good. After 3 patches, I'm still getting solvent and carbon/copper out. Eh, patches are cheap.

Also, i absolutely do not feel the need to scrub a barrel until it looks completely shiny and down to steel as when it was new. The carbon in the fire cracking ain't coming out and it doesn't...IMO...do any harm. And I definitely don't worry about a thin sheen of blue in the grooves as this is just a very thin deposit copper washed into the pores during cleaning and I don't find any need to scrub the living fuck out of the barrel to get every bit of it out.

But to each their own...your barrel so you do your thing, right? And yes, this is a perennial topic with people having different approaches that they are happy with.

Cheers
Good info right here.

I will also say.....I recommend cleaning every 250-300rnds. This works perfect for match shooters.......200rnd count matches with 50-100 to confirm dope, practice, and foul in before a match. Clean after the match for storage.

Dam that's nice. They dont make them like that any longer. How does she shoot?
I took it on trade and I’m scared to even shoot it. Because of how nice it is. Hence why I’m letting it go. So I can’t say how good it shoots. However barrel looks great inside with no issues.
