Barrel Torque Ludicrocity

If there was taper on front of receiver / barrel shoulder, id worry theyd fight the action / barrel threads. Theyd all have to be perfectly concentric with each other (i think they might need to be aligned in some other axis too, dont have good term for it), or the two sets would be trying to point barrel in different directions. The barrel/action threads will be self centering on their own, due to the slope of 60 degree threads acting on each other. Much easier to have action face/ barrel shoulder dead flat and parallel to their own centerline and therefore to each other (easy to check while chucked up in lathe on lathe, easy to fix if needed at that point).

(Just my two cents on the matter, i know i wasnt the one asked)

Stock Market

Well, Gold’s now over $4200 per ounce, and silver’s over $55 per ounce… Holy shit.

That 5% bump I did a week or so ago in my Sprott gold and silver positions is paying off bigly:

This is scary stuff TBH.

A couple buddies who are a lot smarter than me at this stuff are saying that silver is very under valued vs. its normal/historical valuation against gold. They’re telling me they won’t be surprised if silver hits $100 per ounce by early next year.

Don’t know if that’s gonna happen, but sure glad I bought more earlier this year!

Edit: Whenever we see big spikes in the price of gold, we normally also see an even bigger jump in silver; that hasn’t happened yet on the current gold run:

MB camper van

Looking at retirement in the next couple years. Would like to travel without feeling like I’m driving a bus or oversized RV. Anyone here have experience with the MB sprinter camper vans? Thinking I want 4wd , ability for wife to cook her non-gmo meals , take a nap if wanted, and a place to go should nature call. Anyone here have one to give an opinion? Thanks
My neighbour builds RVs on Sprinter's , and yes 4x4 is the preferred choice .If you want to carry motorbikes or a quad go for the long one

This one was configured to carry a dirtbike and surfboards in the back and was configured for extended off grid use with considerable battery capacity and solar roof covering the whole lenght. As typical equiped with blisters to enable crosswise bed orientation.

Here in Europe these are great as RV's are much more limiting than in US , for example you can't park or camp at will with them, most EU countries have restrictions like parking and camping only on RV designated parking and camp sites .

Note up to very recently Euro Van 4x4 drive trains were not factory own products but all ,from specialist 4x4 companies like Obereigner making for expenisve option , but it seems now with mass adoption in campers things are changing and prices for 4x4 bases are less of a price jump from rear wheel drives. but that is also due to more electronic handling of 4x4 than mechanical locking differentials and reduction gears that are offered in aftermarket conversions. Note all retrofits of 4x4 in sprinter use Toyota transfer box
