I have a Razor 1-10 and I really like it. It does really well out to 650 yards (as far as I've shot with the rifle it's on), and it's nearly as fast as a red dot up close. I think it's a great optic for an accurate 5.56 AR when weight is a consideration.

Fellas, it's Illinois. They have a well refined system for making felons out of anyone who displeases the Chicago crime syndicate. They would give you a court date and send you home with a no cash bail for any crime below second degree murder (yeah, that's real), but if you got caught grabbing that flag, they'd probably dust off the electric chair and reinstitute the death penalty for one night only. These people are insane.

Wife and I found two kittens on the side of the road in the middle of the woods by our house last June. Someone had to have abandoned them out there. Was almost 11pm and they ran off as we got near them. Grabbed the thermal and tracked those fools down. Couple days later their sister wandered into the yard and about got hoof stomped by a deer. They were sick and probably wouldn't have lasted much longer on their own if we hadn't found them. They're my buddies now and are healthy outdoor cats doing the Lord's work of killing mice and other unwanted rodents.

It appears that Proof Research has discontinued its 22ARC AR barrel offerings. That's not a good sign.

@Aftermath I thought about the moisture issue and just framing out a base, that but I want this safe secured. I'm not concerned about anyone dragging this safe back up the stairs, but an unsecured safe can be tipped over and pushed onto its back in 60 seconds and then it's very vulnerable to a simple prying attack. (And of course I''ll be putting in motion sensors, a wifi camera, and a water sensor - all on battery backup). And roger on the dogs and the mean woman too

@hollowoutadime I would love to go taller like you're suggesting (12" was my first idea), but the safe moving company uses a hydraulic stair climber that can lift a maximum of 8" so I'm somewhat limited.

@redneckbmxer24 @ironpony52 good call on the carpet just being a sponge to hold moisture against the safe. You're right. I'm deleting that from my plan. It will just be the concrete pad plus a 1/4" sheet of solid HDPE on top as a moisture barrier.

@everyone - yes the room does have an 8" floor drain. I'm going to look into installing a sump pump as well, although that will be a future project. But the prior owner said he had never had water in the basement in the 33 years he lived here and I believe him, the carpets and drywall are all original and there isn't a single water stain anywhere.

You just don’t get it, go read your fluids book again! They are pushing the gas out at deflection angles that result in the sane net pressure but with less pressure directed at the shooter/observer. The felt pressure wave from the Chad is very similar to that of an ATS or ACE brake but with better muzzle control. It is just a basic Engineering fluids problem.

I would be interested in the 6.5 barrel.......
