The turrets are plenty good for me on the Burris, I’m not super picky when it comes to the turrets as long as I don’t get lost, they line up, and are accurate which in my experience the Burris have all been.

As a guy with only a single 700 pattern 22, it HAS to work to make us consumers happy about the brutal cost above a CZ457. A very expensive finicky annoying accurate Rimfire will not help your cause. If it runs like an older Honda Accord, it’s a license to print $$. All things to all people means it will be an expensive oddity that only a few autistics can get to perform. The long term owners that that take offence at this point of view have forgotten that they are not the target market. They are the QC team. The target market does not own a 700 pattern 22 yet.

Depending on how one looks at it, I don't think this is true (or maybe it's very true).

Before the civilian MCX launch (in the long, long ago when LAV and M4C still had a fair amount of cred on the net*) I remember Vickers making comments on the MCX being a good concept, but still had issues to work out as it struggled in full-auto which is a telling sign. And in the same post, noting that Sig has excellent design concepts and even prototypes. But where they always step on their dick is transitioning to full production of said concepts.

Whether it's pulling in people that were present in the HK416* development, or (sigh) Brittingham*, or a bunch of dudes from Leupold, or whatever... they have the talent for good concepts which is why it's so maddening to watch them being managed by a turd who continues to enjoy success cutting corners and putting out sub-par products.

The Razor G3 you mentioned will be a definite step up, although not earth shattering. Same for the ATACR. What you're getting more of in those two is really mechanical (tactile turrets etc...) more than glass...but the glass IS better.

The S3 that you mentioned will have better contrast, but not clarity/resolution IME. However, the reticle will stand out more for sure, and that will make a difference if trying to shoot stuff other than paper targets.

My NX8 is basically a wash in glass with my Pro. I'd run the NX8 only if weight were a factor.

Those are the four that I have in addition to the XTR Pro.

Its all about the soil. I can see from your photos yours is lousy and the way youre going about it youre just wasting time and money.

Forget the Scott's. First fertilize what youre got. Get some good river bottom topsoil (not the clay mixed with compost crap some sell). Spread at least 2" over the whole yard. Seed it with the seed recommended by your Ag. office. Roll it lightly and water. Keep it watered every couple days until its established. Fertilize every 90 days or so.

You'll have grass coming out your ass.
