Hunting & Fishing Let’s start a coyote thread.

I like it. I don't think I am getting much out of it that the Hellcat Pro doesn't offer as I don't really need the extra volume and it doesn't have the spinner but it's quite a solid unit. I figured better to have the volume and not need it than need it and not have it. Supposed to be better sound quality but I don't know if that matters. Great remote with good buttons and screen but I think the Hellcat Pro has the same one.

Oh forgot to add they both have rechargeable lithium battery packs that you leave in the unit as well as auto shut off remotes and recessed power switches. My Deadbone was always getting switched on even after I sanded down the power switch.

I decided to fix a few of my biggest issues with my Fusion this weekend:
- accidentally switching on and draining the batteries
- AA batteries horrible capacity and voltage drop in cold temps.
- difficulty replacing said batteries quickly if needed.

I bought an amazon adapter for my Dewalt 20v, a step down converter, and a mating plug that matches the original battery pack. Now this puppy will run forever, I can remove the battery or install a switch if i want to it never accidentally turns on, and I can carry a spare to swap out in second.

Next step is designing a case that holds this all on a tripod. I even debating taking all internals and speakers out of the fusion and designing a new housing from the ground up but we'll see how much time I have.

Maximum distance you can reliably first-shot impact 1MOA, 1/2MOA target?

fwiw, i'm on day 21 of my experiment. AXSR 300nm @ 410+ yards, 1 shot per day across a holler one ridgetop to another, different times, positions etc. only 2 days rain. None of the misses were from prone or when raining.

17 hits, 4 misses - 81% hit rate
11 of the hits are inside IPSC A zone (1 7/8" tall by 3 7/8" wide box in upper half of the 6"x6" head).
IOW 11 of 21 shots are in a .5 x 1 MOA rectangle. The remaining 6 hits are in 1.5 MOA square.

1 miss was just low and due to ammo (at least, i assume as the garmin read the fps about 5 STD below mean.)
1 miss was just left missed wind call.
2 miss were just high, i attributed one to light and the other to wind moving up the face of the mountain toward the target, but just a guess

I will say, I think i'd have more hits shooting my 6dasher or 6.5x47. 300nm seems a lot less forgiving.

FL Sizing Die Ruined??? Need Advice

I can definately feel the ring or ridge on the shoulder of the brass with a fingernail. And yeah ill debur case mouth after they come out of the tumbler again.
Well, then that's different. Your first post literally said "I cant actually feel it with a fingernail".
Hey guys, need your advice. So i was FL sizing some 6.5cm brass today and i noticed i was getting a little ridge or ring on the shoulder of my brass. I cant actually feel it with a fingernail, and i have never noticed this before. Decided to inspect sizing die and internally the die looks like it is “scored” or “rough” right at the shoulder. What would cause this?? If you zoom in on case you can see the “ring” or “ridge” at shoulder of case. And you can see the inside of the die as well.
I'd send it back and have it either polished or replaced by the manufacturer - even though it probably won't be an issue, just let them deal with it.

The updated Recce 5K and Gas Pocket BCG

I was thinking about it from the aspect of port pop. The BCG we are talking about moves the gas vents to the left side with the pocket on the inside of the upper. I was wondering if that would help or hurt the sound reduction aspect of the carrier.

Oh yeah it most definitely does that. The excess gas that does reach the inside of the carrier is vented down into the magwell/magazine.

People will say it will cause the subsequent rounds in the mag to become dirty and foul and cause malfunctions. Those people are right and wrong and likely don't shoot enough to have formed a valid opinion. Every suppressed firearm makes my rounds in the magazine dirty and I haven't noticed any more with GA GP BCG than normal.

I have the enhanced GA GP BCG on an 18" KAC LPR Mod 2 with OCM5. It was quiet before but without the port pop now it's really nice and quiet. I did notice that difference with that setup.
