Victory Performance center or Buck Mark Field Target Vision

You are right about the PC shop products. My experience with them has been uniformly disappointing, especially with the revolvers marketed for competition. I steer clear of the Performance Center and Pro Series now as neither are worth the premium price. I do all my own work to get plain jane S&W products to perform properly.

As I understand they lost the bulk of their experienced smiths around 2017 or so to retirement. I worked in a gunshop back then and would rotinely see 1 in 3 PC pistols come right out of the box with clocked barrels, bad timing, crocked forcing cones...... ( Losing tallant is one thing but nn existant QC is another.) I'm not sure if that's still the case but I was screwed 3 times (also with competition revolvers) and won't buy anything PC again.

Being honest I was leaning heavy on the Victory PC with stainless fluted barrel. But you both have me seriously reconsidering to the Buck mark Vision Field & Target model.

Supreme Court Rules Nationwide Injunctions by District Courts EXCEED Congressional Authority

Yup, they started.
"Hours after the Supreme Court delivered the Trump administration a major victory Friday by ruling lower courts may issue nationwide injunctions only in limited instances, a coalition of liberal legal groups filed a sweeping new class-action lawsuit in New Hampshire federal court. It takes aim at President Donald Trump's January executive order that redefines who qualifies for U.S. citizenship at birth."

Short Barrel Ranch Rifle Cartridge Choice

To me, recoil isn't much of a factor since a big magnum is out of the question. I also don't consider modern Creedmoor-class cartridges in <22" barrels to be hearing safe, even with a suppressor. So additional hearing protection is mandatory (for me)... and since I'm doing that, I might as well save myself the 4-6 inches and leave it off. YMMV.

Having farted around with "ranch rifles" and truck guns for a while now myself, I will trade a little portability for MPBR and faster follow-up shots - because you'll likely not have time for application of a rangefinder... So the braced 10.5" ARs and 16.5" bolt guns aren't for me either. Again, YMMV.

If someone told me that I had to build another ranch rifle tomorrow, I'd end up with an 18" 22/6 ARC on an AR. You could go a step further and put a folding stock adapter on it too if you wanted. That is still short enough to fit perpendicular next to you in the cab of a truck or SxS, but long enough to get some velocity with the right bullet.

300 Norma Magnum Build – Solid Setup or Would You Do It Differently?

I think the .300NM is excellent choice for what you are trying to do. I have a bone stock AXSR 27” barrel shooting 245 Hybrids at 2870fps and have run it out to 2500 with hits on steel in ELR match last weekend. You will also need to factor in a Prism if you wanna keep a 100 zero and shoot past 2500 yards.

Sounds like an awesome build you got going!!

He's a good boy!!!

Years ago, right after our twin girls were born, my wife was walking down our driveway carrying the babies. We have two wrought iron gates at the end of the drive, I had not yet installed the electronic openers so they were still latch operated. We had a huge sign on the gate that said "If gate is closed the dogs are out. DO NOT ENTER".

Apparently, the postman could not read because he climbed over the fence beside the gate and came inside. My wife, who was about 100ft away (its a long drive) did not hear it but the dog (Ay'len our gsd) did.....of course.
My wife said ay'len rocketed away and before she could even turn around the dog had the guy on the ground. The dog, quite literally, ripped his clothes off: Shorts, gone..shirt, gone....one shoe, gone. However, she never bit him or even scratched his skin.

The wife told her to heel and she did. The poor guy was hysterically crying but then got mad and whipped out his pepper spray. The wife warned him she would release the dog again if he sprayed that shit near the babies.

We called his office and reported what happened. He called the cops who showed up the same day, we showed them the security camera footage and they told him to pound sand.

The post office made us install a drop box on the other side of the road from our house or they would not deliver our mail, we would have to pick it up.
