Elk Hunting Rifles, What are you Using?

I use a 6mm gt, impact 707, mdt cbrn stock, 20” barrel, always suppressed. I shoot 108 eldms at 2870. Rifle weighs just under 12lbs so no recoil at all. I’ve killed four elk at 600yrds + with 6mms most of them one shot kills. In my experience shot placement is king and having a good bullet that penetrates and fragments. Projectile pass throughs are over rated. Having a rifle that is fun and easy to shoot leads to more practice.

Firearms S&S Precision Remington 700 Action, Carbon Fiber 24” Threaded .300WM barrel

S&S Precision build. Remington 700 action. I’m the second owner. Purchased locally but I never have time to shoot long range, so selling it. The previous owner had it put together by S&S Precision, and only shot 200 rounds through it. Remington 700 action, Magpul bottom metal, Magpul 5 round magazine, 24” threaded Carbon fiber 300 Winchester Magnum barrel.

I called S&S and sent the owner a bunch of photos and he confirmed that the barrel was a Proof barrel (there’s not proof stamps or markings, or caliber stamp on the barrel, but he said it was a Proof prefit barrel.)

PRICE DROP NOW $1,350 obo for the rifle, shipped to your FFL.

I have 232 rounds of factory 180 grain ammo I can add for $200 + shipping if you want it (can’t be shipped with the rifle, has to be sent separately.)

AXMC 338 Lapua to 300 PRC Conversion Issue

I recently picked up an AXMC in 338 Lapua. My local range does not allow anything over 300 caliber, so I also purchased the 300 bolt body (part 20013) and a 300 PRC barrel (part 2527073BL). After the conversion to 300 PRC, the pin is either not or barely making contact with the primer. Does this setup need the small firing pin or is this most likely a headspacing issue with the barrel?
