@lockedandloaded The photo that Badger has for their M24 base is not representative of the actual item. The base they sell does have M24 marked on top, which is not shown in the photo. However, the M24 marking is different than how Badger does it. The base you have looks like it was hand marked? I’ll post a pic of my Badger M24 base marking when I can.

If I recall correctly from the episode with the brass and action with some people who knew more than himself to guide him he went well beyond what was calculated to be 100,000psi. Should go without saying, don’t try this on your Remington 700…
I have been using starline small rifle primer brass to push my 308s to 30-06 velocities. I havent noticed any difference between those and Petersons. The only thing I have done is anneal the starline and I am using mag small rifle primers. It is 99% case fill so it is compressed but have not had any pressure issues with my Origin action. The 155 tmks are running at 3015fps on average. I would not try this in a semi auto obviously or even a lower quality action.
Thats not the reason for the problem, at least not in the beginning. Like I mentioned above, it began 50 or so years ago with 'white flight' which took the jobs and money to the burbs. Lack of jobs/work/ opportunities and It went down from there to where it is now. There are almost always more than one reason for a problem/
