Outside of densely populated areas, I find the nationally competitive shooters quite rare. There are lot more interested amateurs. It’s cool to cater to the true cronics, but they don’t pay most of the bills. We do much of this at our monthly shoots. ( minus the meal.) Whatever the course of fire of the day, shooters score for themselves and or get help from a friend. It works pretty well to keep the stress down and the newbies coming but I had to admit that we've lost some of the more skilled shooters who want a fixed format that runs to a national/CMP/NRA standard. It's the difference between folks that just want to shoot and folks that want/need to compete.
I just got an Zeiss LRP S3 6-36 and I have been super impressed with the quality of the optic. It’s the first Zeiss I’ve owned and it’s incredible so far.Just FYI, you know I have top-end glass... But I run those Ziess V4's on almost all of my hunting rifles. It's the best glass in its price range, and it's lightweight, and reliable. I've never had a single issue with any Zeiss scope, and been running Zeiss' for almost 25 years, and had over a dozen of them from all different models. They are built in Japan @ LOW (according to a Zeiss rep I talked to), just like their big brother, the V6 model. They are good scopes.
From what you have seen there is no loss of accuracy with the Vision buck marks have a small steel liner barrel?@B Man
My dislike for PC/Pro Series stuff is because they aren’t a good value proposition. Deceptive marketing to garner higher price points. Mechanically all S&W products are the same. They differ cosmetically. All require aome finishing work to get them to run efficiently for gun games. They’re ok for field work, but experienced shooter will tune them up anyway. As @WeeHooker noted, clocked barrels are a common complaint on the wheel guns because of poor QC and not spending enough tine on in-service training for the workforce. In short, poor management.
If you like the Victory better then buy it because you’ll be happiest with what you want. Just understand that you’ll have to tune it up a bit. Tandemkross parts are pretty good for drop in tune ups. If you have moderate mechanical skill and a few tools you can do great work in your den or garage workbench. Blowback 22’s aren’t difficult to work on (except the Colt Woodsman and other old pistols that are hard to source springs and small parts).
The Buckmarks are fine too. Do a trigger spring swap and run it like a scalded dog.
Now THAT'S a badass rig. I just bought my youngest son a car for graduating in Mechanical Engineering in 4 years and keeping his scholarship all 4 years. I bet it was about the same or less than that.
Thank you for the reply in kind.
I was unaware of a "prayer request thread." I'll look for it, unless you got a link handy?
Thanks again. John 10:10
I can appreciate that. for most of my life I was way too angry and violent to have a life with anyone. How I survived surprised me.I understand but a life with the right one, is heaven on earth. While have self pity party's on certain dates, I also have 39 years of memory's & photographs that remind me how lucky I was, for all those years,...
Any of you ninjasin the Phoenix area have a R700 TacOps? I wanted to check it out and maybe shoot it just to shoot it. I’d let you shoot a KMW-OPS 51 in exchange.
These really are awesome rifles and I can’t afford to collect them all. I blew my wad on a lifetime supply of ammo and XL Condoms.
While I respect every one's right to smell what they choose...Bold move posting this here in The Pit. Guys are gonna be asking for used underwear, or for you to fart into a jar for donations.
Ya know, like the OF pros…

In what way(s) did it put things in perspective? After playing with the 2-10 these past few months, I went back this week to shooting my S&B Dual CC mostly max'd out on 8x.
Really puts things in perspective.
HTR reticle through scope pics please.

Lol nope. Just 54, wife recently moved out, and tired of the bullshit.
Just being real.
Am I the only one that's annoyed the triangle is upside down in the ZCO reticle?
