I took my son to a large Chinese buffet for lunch years ago. We sat down and I looked around, noticed the place was full of Mexicans.
I saw a black couple across the room from us. The guy was looking around just like I was. He and I caught each others eye, and both just shrugged.

Friday was a cluster, but have to say the rest of the match was really good! Had a great time!
USMC Unertl MST-100/150 scope covers

Thanks for posting the pictures, I hadn't seen either of those scope covers.
There were two types of scope covers that were with the Unertl scopes that were sent to the CMP for sale. There were a few that had the Devtron Scopecoat covers and some that had Butler scope caps or paint patterns that showed that they had them on at the time they were painted.
I have one of the scopes that had a Devtron Scopecoat cover. It showed some rust on the adjustment threads, so they clearly held moisture. They are said to be neoprene and have a thin inner foam layer.
I'm not saying these were USMC issue, but whether they were contract or private purchase, they were in use.
I'll post a few pictures of the one I received.
