i seem to recall that Hitler had a couple of body doubles. seems he needed them. there were 2 or 3 assassination attempts or plans prior to the bomb try.I am sure they have body doubles in use many times. I wonder how many people think the president is really taking a week off at Camp David? If I wanted to throw the enemy off, I would broadcast that the president is in a certain place when he is not even within 500 miles of the place.
"But I saw him. Why would the secret service spend that kind of manpower just for a ruse?"
Don't worry, the government is quite happy to spend your money.
No, thanks just looking for cashStill available? Wonder if you might be interested in a cmmg resolute 6mm arc? Less than 10 rds thru it
my questions are: 1) role of Russian air def in this raid. overwhelmed, tricked, asleep at the wheel? 2) is this something that will cause the hard liners in Moscow (and Putin is surely not one) to put pressure on Putin to finish it off ignoring all the Euro badass blather or Trump's continued aid to Uke? one never knows the truth on these things, but does seem to be a tactical success. maybe a smallish one but still. certainly won't change the overall situation. the train sabotage event likely just as big a deal really. was Russian security caught off guard? seems to me this might stir up Russian people to demand an end to it if domestic attacks ramp up.IW can go on a long time. Even after you’ve allegedly defeated an enemy. A lot of people around here know that. This is only the tip of what can be done, and they’ve eliminated over a third of their operational capability for that airframe. Some actually speculate it’s more because only about 50 aircraft were in a ready state.
This entire war is pointless, as are most. But you have to wonder what Putin is thinking. He had a pretty decent off-ramp and the OPFOR was publicly humiliated and being forced to give up the farm.
The Russian people have a decent amount of affinity from a large sector of the American people. They are proud, strong and have a rich history. So I gather going hat in hand to countries like China and Iran can’t ultimately sit well with them. It’s also human nature to grow tired of conflict. But losing pride in the process is even more devastating.
Russia’s immediate reaction was to once again threaten to light one off. That doesn’t just look weak, it looks malicious and dangerous.
Find a way to end the conflict…that is unless that’s not what you really want.
This is pretty typical of my rifle with Lapua SLR.Let’s see some of these 1.5” groups at 200. Definitely doable but not regularly. Certainly not the majority of the time even with good conditions. More like 2moa at 200.
My vote is for Shasta. It's in california.

Google what they think of the Goy.You don’t think at this point they are so confident , they are fucking with us ?
I haven't seen much difference with cheap 55 - 62 grain ammo when shot with a 1:7 vs. 1:9 twist.1:7 is great for heavies, as long as that's all you want to shoot out of them. However if you want better groupings with 55-62gr ammo that's more plentiful and cheaper there's a significant downside to them. There are exceptions of course, I've had a couple 1:7 JP 5.56 barrels that did pretty well with 62gr rounds, but overall most shoot them pretty poorly. Much worse than 1:8's do and 1:8's seem to still do very well with 69-77gr match ammo.
I suspect that we'd see a ton less posts about accuracy complaints with AR barrels if they were 1:8 instead of 1:7's for the general market. A lot of general buyers of AR's, outside the precision world, would probably rather have a barrel that shot better with the lighter ammo they are most often buying. Almost every forum for such platforms is filled with posts of people complaining about poor accuracy, only to later learn that they are forced into buying heavy match ammo to get accuracy because of the 1:7 barrels, and then their complaints change to that what they really want is a barrel that performs better with the lighter, cheaper more common 55-62gr ammo.
I totally see the use case and market for special use case precision orientated AR that are limited to only performing well with heavies but I'd still argue that for general use and the average consumer they'd be happier and better served with a barrel that shot 55-62gr ammo better, especially in lighter, non-precision setups. It just seems like the 1:7 barrels give up way more shooting lighter rounds than the 1:8's do shooting heavier rounds. Especially since at some point you run into mag length issues. I suppose that's really a consumer education issue, those looking for platforms that do well with lighter 55-62gr ammo should simply avoid options that are 1:7.
