When you think about it, sending the latest US tech over there was a stupid move.

Deploying our wonder weapons into that theater allowed the Russians (and more importantly, the Chinese) the time and opportunity to come up with effective countermeasures.

That lag time would have been extremely valuable to us if we were thrust into a near peer/great power conflict. It would have bought us time to shape things and get more control in our initial push back.

Then again seeing how this war exposed how vulnerable the guidance ecosystems are, maybe it was a blessing that they failed there rather than in front of our own men.

It's heavily dependent on region, in norcal the craigslist and facebook weren't too bad, even the salvage title flippers were still relatively honest. Here in arizona forget about it lol.
