Anyone use a Spuhr SICS chassis with a Defiant Deviant Tactical (short action)

Thank you! If for whatever reason I wanted to try AW mags but then want to go back to AICS mags, it looks like I would be able to do so correct? Just reinstall the original mag catch? Thanks again, I’m loving my purchases from April as I was passing by the Wyoming store. I’m so glad I was able to stop in person.
Hey,

The Wyoming guys are great. I try to get up there as much as I can. As far as the mag thing I would have to double check with Adam, but it seems as though you could just switch back to the original catch. I will verify.

223 Powder Issues

I like to stay around or just under max book loads first good node in that area. As @tekmann2377 said you get some temperature variations and I think less if not compressed. It gets to be 100+ (today) in Texas.

I'm not at your bench rest level of competition so the difference is not worth eating barrels for my purposes.

I run at 95% of book or there about and the fire formed brass can take more to get to the next load for sure but I had troubles with multiple calibers getting temp sensitive and a narrow node that could easily get bounced out of with less than top shelf gear and effort.

You can drop or throw +/- 0.1g with many products and I can't justify spending past that since I doubt I can shoot the difference.
To me it is literally eaten up with a puff of wind.

Thanks for the tip on the magnum primers I will try and see if I can shoot the difference on paper. Lol

I'm working on my ar's for a competition that's entirely dominated by bolt guns just for fun. A 5x25 34mm ffp may make a difference, haven't mounted it yet. Not sure I like ffp. 500 yd rack down to 2 inch.

Good luck in your next comps to all.

Precision Rifle Gear The Barrel Burner App- help track your firearm and reloading components via phone

Me either. Drop downs wouldn’t work on free version to test it. Deleted.
Barrels have to currently be added on the barrel page. Barrels are defined separately from actions/triggers/optics because of the additional fields the app tracks. We are working on an update so that components and barrels can both be added while defining a new firearm. The update will also allow users to define 1 set of reloading components on the free version so all functionality is there on the free version, just with limited capacity. We will continue to add functionality and improve UI as we get feedback.

6.5x47 Lapua

Here is another question, I've read of some stuff a long time ago with brass not fitting in this chamber unless it was neck turned. Is this a thing of the past for this chambering? For the life of me I cant find Alphas reamer specs. I was going to order the Alpha 175 FB to send to the smith to try, and was curious if Lapua brass will fit, or if i should just use Alphas brass.

I'd be surprised if Alpha went tight on the neck dimension, more likely theyd be larger than some existing x47 reamers IMO. My lapua loaded stuff is 0.290" and I think my current chamber is 0.295". I think there are some 0.2944 neck reamers too. I wouldn't want to go any tighter than that and I would be surprised if Alpha did.
