Maggie’s Another M18 accidental discharge

Not all Ford Pintos exploded when they were on the road.

Some fucktard claiming he couldn't get his shitty Sig to AD has absolutely no bearing on the problem. The problem is some Sig 320s will fire without warning and kill people. The second problem is you don't know which ones are fucking unsafe because Sig blames everyone and everything else for the problem. Sig has shitty customer service and engineering.

The best solution is to never buy a single product from them. Fuck'em.

Stupid question Monday, has anyone considered shooting an opposite handed rifle?

I shoot at RiflesOnly whenever I get a chance and most of the time, one stage requires weak shoulder to be utilized. So I practiced and gotten proficient.

Secondly, the wife is a lefty and I’m a righty. So I get a chance to practice both hands/shoulders when I feel like it.

I’ve gotten pretty proficient at it. I normally shoulder/eye left side but keep my hands running normally right handed.

But switching to a left hand rifle to keep your hand on the grip sounds like you’re gonna have trouble handling your rifle when moving or trying to get stable

Yup Jacob is good about that and it’s a skill a lot have lost as it’s not cool to shoot weakside anymore in matches and people bitch when it’s thrown in.

When you say running normal right handed do you mean pulling the trigger with the right hand or just irking the bolt? When I shoot weakside I work the bolt with my right hand but trigger with left as it’s on the grip.

Hunting & Fishing First Western Elk Hunt…Essential Gear/Clothing Advice Needed

I’m a Louisiana native, and have wanted to hunt out West for decades. My son (14) is now physically capable enough and highly motivated, so we are tagging along with an experienced friend to Wyoming the week before Thanksgiving, as he tries to fill 2 cow tags. I started purchasing youth preference points for both of my kids. My friend is a former WY resident, is familiar with the area, and has hunted his private property near Chama, NM for 20 years. So he is knowledgeable and helpful making gear suggestions. But I wanted to check in here with some Western residents and lifelong hunters. Hide members have helped me spend my money many times 😆

We stopped by the Kuiu store in Dallas last weekend to get fitted for packs. I ordered a Pro6000 for myself and Pro4500 Divide for my son.

I have several sets and weights of First Lite merino layers, Kuiu Attack pants, vests from both.

Need recommendations for outerwear, gloves, boots, socks, etc.

I have a pair of Nikon M5 8x42 Binos for my son. I’m checking forums for used Vortex Razor/Maven B1, etc

What else do we need to successfully tag along on a mid-November WY elk hunt?

Thank you.

Front support: sand bags vs. rifle rests

It depends on what you're calling a front rest.

If you're using a rest intended for something like precision shooting, then I'd say that's the most stable. If you're talking about the type of rest that you'd buy at a sporting goods store, then you'd be better off with bags.
This. Proper BR front rests can cost several $K. Most non-BR shooters use a bipod and rear bag on the bench. Bipods also have several solidity levels, usually depending on price, but also on intended use. Common PRS bipods have a lot of slop in them compared to the capabilities of bench rifles.

Yeah, having AI/Skynet anywhere in .gov is totally the right move...

Just wait until Stuxnet equivalents and AI merge. You know someone is going to try it.

Tactical Restaurant Seating

Seafood buffet is good at both places. My wife would eat nothing but crab if it was a choice, so I didn't feel bad paying $80 each to only eat 1 plate of crab and move on to prime rib.

It's a pain in the ass, we ended up there on a slow weekend and waited in line for 30 min. Reservations were 3 months out.

Tactical Restaurant Seating

Some of you guys have too much time on your hands.

If the tactical seat is an uncomfortable spot ..I’ll give up some of my tactical advantage to actually enjoy my meal. Rather than being uncomfortable eating a nice dinner.

Been going out to eat for a loooong time in the manhattan tri state area..never had to smoke someone while ordering apps

Mexican and BBQ recommendations for the San Antonio, TX area

Grist Mill in Gruene (N side of New Braunfels) for lunch or dinner for the win. They have ribs but aren’t a bbq or Mexican restaurant but is the best place to eat anywhere around.

unless its changed in the last 5-8 years, i would avoid the gristmill. too big, too busy, food is not bad but not worth the cost or the wait. i would rather eat at Mozies across the street. just my opinion.
