Aero precision shipping times

Ordered an AP part the same week for around $125 (now priced at $180+). Item clearly said "in stock" but was not really in stock. After nearly 3 months I finally said "F you" to Aero and filed the VISA dispute. Got my $$ back as a permanent resolution as even VISA could not contact them or resolve the dispute. Morons at AP sent me the part 1 week after my VISA win. Thanks for the freebie AP assholes! Great way to run a business.
This is the same thing they did to me. I tried contacting them to cancel after a long wait and nothing happening but to no avail. I disputed the charge with my CC and, for over a month, they were unable to contact Aero as well. The charge was removed pending Aero contacting the CC within 90 days. At almost the 90 days, still no contact with my CC provider, I got a shipping notification. It was signature required so I refused the shipment. Never again will I order or even use any Aero product!

Vudoo closed the doors…

Fwiw, I have #20xx, ordered/received early 2019... definitely 1st-gen, or at least the bolt has the big cocking button that got tiny with gen-2 (and maybe 1.1 but that's fuzzy).

With what serial did the production run start? 1001? Back in my skeet days, we "early adopter" Kolar owners would talk about whose shotgun was "oldest." So far, mine has taken that "honor" with being the 7th production copy out the door. As it was with you, Mike, the gun's designer took great interest in feedback on those early guns. We had a number of great conversations.
Yep, the range is a little fuzzy for me too as I'm depending on memory at the moment and not actual documentation. The Gen 1.2 was in the mix within the S/N range and part of some of the early measures to erase some of the troublesome Remington DNA to improve the fire control system, but, there were some back-and-forth things going on with what actually ended up in some guns.

New Applied Ballistics® Quantum™ APP! - & It's Free!

Pressure.
Im a little confused. Maybe a lot confused. Between my phone weather app, couple websites, and what i can populate in ABQ, pressure vary quite a bit. Its easy to always hit the button in the ballistic app. But why does the info vary from 28.2 to 29.67 on these different sources? Is it station pressure vs adjusted pressure for sea level?

I live at around 1300 feet elevation in idaho. Shoot between 1200 and 3200 feel elevation.

I understand that regardless of the other apps, if ABQ always pulls consistent numbers i should be fine, and disregard the others. Right?

Maybe there is a good resource to watch or read that would help me understand?

Here are the results from locally this afternoon.

ABQ

The weather channel website

Thanks.

Some of these are Barometric Pressure, some of them are Station Pressure. Something to consider is that Barometric Pressure is calibrated for the location of the sensor. So it is location specific. If your physical elevation is different from theirs, then their is a variance to account for (but most outputs or readings are not going to do this). Our app can take your GPS location, the Barometric Pressure of the weather station, and back convert it proper for ballistics.

6 ARC Gas Guns

Picked up 500 of the 100gr Sierra Tipped Game Kings from Raven Rock.

Only had a chance to try 20 rounds so far, best group was 0.676moa at 200 yards using 27.0gr N140 2.25COL. The other groups measured in between 1-1.5 moa.

For 20 cents per bullet I think these have a lot of potential.

Did you get the black oxide coated overruns? I wonder if they'd shoot with the same loads as the uncoated variety.

That's a good deal, I shot the regular uncoated variety some as well as the 90gr TGKs, but availability was pretty variable. They did shoot well though, and are supposed to be on the tougher side, which should help penetration given their lighter weight. I did shoot one deer with them, a snap heart shot and it exited, but it was a pretty small deer.

Scale drift issues

I have an old Lyman 500 and a rcbs digital scale. I was loading some 308 yesterday, and the rcbs was being a pain in the ass. So I checked it against the Lyman, and it was consistently 0.2 high. It would read 44.9 when the Lyman beam would read 44.7. Unfortunately the check weights that came with the RCBS 50grams and the Lyman only goes to 505. So I finished reloading using the beam and left the rcbs on all night. Went into my loading room this am, and zeroed both out, dumped 0.2 into the Lyman pan, then dumped that powder into the rcbs and it would not even read the 0.2. Upped it to 0.4 on the Lyman and then into the rcbs and it read 0.3. Is the rcbs unit faulty? I really want an electric dispenser for my precision rounds, but now I am nervous about getting one. Any suggestions?

As I recall, the range started at 1001 and went just beyond 1500.

AR suppressor problem

But if you already have a specific can sometimes the cost is prohibitive to get another that is flow through.

In that situation, what I've done is tune the rifle to run optimally suppressed and run it suppressed all the time. I'd assume the OP isn't using a x39 AR as a go to war type rifle, but rather for hunting or something like that. I also like SA bleed off gas blocks, in my experience it's been easier to find a setting that runs well both unsuppressed and suppressed as long as the can isn't super high back pressure.

I do have my first two low back pressure cans now though, and they do make things easier, but they aren't mandatory.

Weird Eley Match Lot#

LOL 20 FPS variance in 22 rimfire ammo and you think that its two lots.

How many shots in the sample size in your test?
Whole boxes until I realized what was going on. Yes I’ve had Center X before that had a ES of 50. Each and every box I tested has had very good SD’s for 22 ammo. I’ve got 4 unopened bricks that i guarantee you you can open and randomly select 4 boxes and test them and the boxes will be one of those average velocities and out of the four selected there will be at least one if not two that’ll be the other velocity
