Why do people load so hot?

... work up until your gun starts doing fucked up things to your brass. ...
:D From the outside looking in, I've always wondered about this. I work up until l find an accuracy node. Is it a pain in the ass, yes. But I don't chase speed, I want accuracy and precision (there is a difference). Could it be that people are looking for speed and, therefore, encounter "fucked up things" in chasing that speed? Probably? The faster the projectile, the less time gravity affects it in flight - I get that. Once I find the first acceptable accuracy, I stick with it and then fiddle with seating depth, primers, brass, etc. If that proves futile, I move up to the next node.

Rifle Scopes Top tier scope recommendation

So I currently run an element theos, and it’s great! But I’ve been going back and forth on a zco or khales. I’m thinking either the 527 or 540i. What are opinions on reticle thickness? I tried a vortex razor 3, but it was too thin for my eyes. The theos reticle (thickness/presence) is what I’d like to have if possible. Seems maybe zco does this a bit better? Any help would be great as the guys I shoot with don’t run either scope. Primarily razor gen 3’s or atacr on the more premium side.

Why are AR15s so difficult to shoot for the average shooter?

Bullshit.

5MOA with junk ammo means you suck.

Describing that setup between 1-2 MOA is easily possible--even with junk ammo. Don't make me get out my AK/steel cased ammo and prove my point.

Ammo makes a difference. It doesn't make a 5MOA difference.
I have a LR-308 that struggled to put federal fusion ammo into a group the size of a basketball. Switch to federal gold medal match and it is sub moa. Photobucket nuked my account many years ago, or I would post pics of the groups from the same range session. The difference was… stark…
