New CHAD clone from Preece.

It allows you to create unique features on individual section that are impossible to do from a solid block of material. There are two ways to achieve this either machine and weld or do additive manufacturing (3D print).

I'm actually surprised that we haven't seen more brakes produced from additive manufacturing

408CT twist rate.

And I agree with the above post that Desert Tech ammo is reliable

If they are really getting 2700 ft./s out of a 446 grain with a BC .57, that is a decent load if of course it’s stabilizes in the one to 13 twist

However, $17 a round? Are you fucking kidding me?

So we are back to square one: you should not buy a CHEYTAC chambered rifle if you are not capable of reloading for it

Same with 416 Barrett

On the other hand, factory 750AMAX can be had for about six dollars a round if you pay attention, and I basically can’t load it for that even if I get the case for free (primer $1 powder $2 projectile $3, plus my time)

CHEYTAC is basically a defunct company.

They enjoy no respect in the community whatsoever and I’m not sure how they are even still viable except for naïve people watching old M2000 intervention videos

They sent me a batch of 375 ammo 12 years ago that was literally rupturing the cases longitudinally. I sent them back to them and they said that the loads were only over pressure because of “some of our competitors chambering or bore size”. They took no responsibility and they passed the buck. They were loading the 350 Ciara matching with 136 GRAINS of RETumbo, which is wildly over pressure.

THE BALANCED FLIGHT PROJECTILES I BOUGHT DIDN’T SHOOT WORTH A SHIT. THERE WAS ALSO SOME BUSINESS ABOUT THEM BEING IMPROPERLY SIZED FOR CERTAIN BORE AND LAND AND GROOVE DIAMETERS, WHICH, OF COURSE THEY ALSO BLAMED ON THE BARREL MAKERS WHEN IT WAS MORE LIKELY A BAD BULLET DESIGN.

Sorry about the all caps was an accident.

But now you know that CHEYTAC space USA is a complete shit show and you should be aware

Dandy trickler controller for TRX-925 scale

So for those of you that have purchased or thought about purchasing the Creedmoor TRX-925 scale and wanted to add a powder trickler here is what I found. I was on Accurate Shooter website and found someone was building a controller for the Dandy power trickler that would work with the TRX-925. I took the plunge and ended up buying the 2 speed Dandy and the controller. The price for both was well below other scale/trickler combinations. Combining the two was a simple matter drilling a small hole the the Dandy control box and soldering two wires. The controller has many settings that allow you to create different powder profiles.

It may not be as slick or fast as the higher priced combinations but it does offer an alternative for those of us with smaller budgets. It's my understanding that "itchyTF" who built the controller has three more available if this interests you.

2A ALERT for COLORADO: CO AWB at Gov's desk. THIRTEEN new antigun bills to be watched. Update on post 106 pg 3..

Far enough south for alligators? I was disappointed when I visited and found out they didnt have alligators.
I dont think so but maybe.
A little tough to get is an understatement...there were 15 total last year and 10 of those were antlerless. Wife's family has a farm there and we visit often, for 25 years or so. I didn't know elk hunting was even a thing there. Got a LOT of duck though. And pigs.

If they need help with pigs let me know!
