One thing I know: if you let livestock get under your skin they will 100% drag you down to their level and you will share the 5.5 brain cells. Money is usually spent on repairs after the event, either at the doctor or on the crap that gets broken. Maybe both. But when it happens to someone else its hilarious, because I've been there.I mean, I have days like this every year. However, angling a few t-posts between the panel and outside frame might have helped guide this young, stupid, motherf#@%ing, worthless piece of s#!t steer with 5 f#@%ing brain cells out a lot easier than chasing it around in circles.
One must be smarter than the cattle. However after helping others manage their herds... one is often - not - smarter than the cattle.
on another note, suggestions on how to offer these, set a lower price and what you see is what you get or spend the time to shoot each one like I would if the actions is here(with pics of groups)and charge accordingly ?I think you should be just fine!
The way I understand it (which may be completely wrong) is there are almost no conditions where my 100 yard zero should change. I've played with it in a ballistic calculator before and I couldn't manage to change the conditions enough to get a measurable 100 yard zero change. I'd set the zero to 25 yards, screw around with the variables, and see if I could make the drop at 100 yards change. Being 0.3 MRAD low just doesn't seem like an environmental thing to me, especially going from sea level to 4,000 ft elevation.
I get that it definitely has an effect on my external ballistics the longer the range is. But a 100 yard zero is a 100 yard zero.
I always liked a Light Palma measuring between .730" and .750" for short rifles, and I've had several custom rifles in the past with those barrel contours . There's guys making continuous contour barrels now that look quite good in the .750 range. What’s the ideal contour for a short barrel? REM Varmint/light Palma?
I have a bunch of barrels, various brands here that I am going to do prefits with, I know there have been some discrepancies before. Just trying to see when it was a problem. I have serial number 901 here as my shop action to use.I have had many rimx actions and the lasering has lined up perfect on all of them but one! The first one I bought back in 2020 s/n 36 always is about an 1/8th turn too much!
Just sent mine back..I think some water got in from my last vacation.Yep, because meanwhile the Panerai look is by far my favorite
This man has had cattle for years. He definitely knows the lingo.
