Here you can see how i have each target, D&B, with the elevation. And then in the columns I have the wind hold for a 3,6&9 mile per hour wind hold for both targets.Do PRS events allow shooters to know the distance of targets prior to the match starting, or maybe before each stage? Yes, they give you a book/sheet of paper with target distances. Is the info on the card just generally to help with speed? it’s the dope/elevation for each target and then wind holds as well Is putting wind holds on dope cards a thing, I imagine a match can take hours so the wind would be changing all day? Takes like 2 minutes before each stage to get a wind reading and write your card out Are people just generally writing out the card 4dof generates so they can have it in an easy to reference location like on one of those pic holders or strapped to their stock? or on the wrist, hand etc if not attached to the rifle/scope
Yes, there are a few examples of the early large butthook McMillan A4 stocks in private collections that were sold to civilians in the very beginning of the production run. However, even those early civilian A4 stocks are very rare. One of the members of this forum has one on one of his M40A3 clones.Did McMillan sell the early version of the A4, the “big hook” on the open market? I acquired one, just curious if it’s got any history or not. Thanks
This is definitely in the category of “if you’re gonna screw up then make people wonder, How the fuck did he do that?”
We started getting them some time ago here in Aus... S&B Germany have been excellent though and on request have sent out the "Old" replacement caps ..I first saw those crappy plastic battery caps on Aussie market S&B scopes, and it was for regulatory reasons.
Australia was the first place I know of that had a law that required all devices with coin or button style batteries to have child resistant battery compartments... The law probably went into effect after the scopes were designed which is why that new battery cap looks like a rushed afterthought.
Hopefully the service department can sell you the nice finger removable aluminum ones...
Does it even come with the suppressor? Just see it in the pictures I wasn’t sure.
I discussed this with JT yesterday, and unfortunately we don't have a silencer or silencer certificate for this M40A5 package. We decided not to include a silencer because of the issues with legality if the prize winner is in a ban state. And after looking at the current production SureFire silencers, we decided not to get a certificate for the wrong silencer (incorrect for this M40A5). Rarity and high price were also issues for adding an original silencer to this kit.Great question, and that's one I'll have to get back to you on with a detailed answer. There is no silencer included with the rifle, since this raffle is legal in all 50 states, but silencers are only legal in 42 states. It's much easier to raffle off a rifle without the silencer do to state laws that can vary quite a bit.
I need to ask JT (president of the SSA) if we are including a certificate for a silencer with this raffle. In previous years we've worked with SureFire and have included a certificate for a free silencer. However, SureFire no longer makes the correct FA762SS silencer for this rifle, so if there is a certificate for a free silencer for the raffle winner, it would have to be for one of their currently produced silencers.
