Solus or Origin for first custom build?

The obvious and only correct answer, according to Hide standard wisdom, is BUY BOTH!!

All kidding aside, I have both. I started with the Origin and then bought a Solus on sale before they hired that idiot to manage their operation. I bought it because of the 60 deg throw and the fact it uses the same prefits as my Origin. That said, I would recommend for your first custom action that you buy the Origin over the Solus. The Origin is a nicer feeling action, the customer support is worlds better, and the resale, if you ever want to sell it, is solid. Good luck getting parts for anything Aero makes, I’m still waiting for them to release the folding adapter to their chassis and they announced it as a product in 2023.

Go Origin and never look back. If you want to build a lightweight mountain hunting rifle, look at the MacBrothers Element, it weights 19.8 oz.

Solus or Origin for first custom build?

Soon we are having a great range to shoot again. I hope to see you there this winter?

Depends on if his OF account finally takes off. So far, I think he only has two subscribers and one of those is a mod here...

Origins run really well. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

Ok.

Now you HAVE to spill it. What happened?

In the wrong pick up line. A very irritated looking lady rushed over to correct me. I said I did not know. In her most authoritarian voice she said, “I’m telling you the correct way now.” Stopped short of calling her Peppa Pig and said, “I heard you the first time.” She scurried away to confer with some other portly lady.

The DIL was concerned because they can cut you in the first semester for any reason.

Good eats @Smokeshot

Skirt 🥩 steak has the best flavor of all beef in my opinion.

These days increasingly harder to get hold of.

When I was a young boy in Kansas I pointed it out to my dad that it was on sale.
Over 5 decades later I still remember his response, "it's tough, chewy and only Mexican's know how to cook it".

Then we moved to Texas. Lol

Hard core skirt steak cooks showed me how to cook it straight on the coals of a good fire by fanning off the ash and laying it strait on quickly about 2 minutes per side .

That is my favorite way to cook it .
